Marvel Comics was
founded in 1939, in what was known as the Golden Age of comic books and
introduced us to a number of memorable characters. Marvel became a craze after
the release of a series of video games. In 1982 Spiderman made his debut as an
action video game by Parker Brothers. This game involved guiding Spider-Man
around the game – it was the first video game to feature the character. Plus, it
was the first Marvel Comic to be made into a video game! Spiderman also went on
to spawn many blockbuster movies.
Spider-man
Spider-man has inspired a lot of Marvel fans. This movie is considered the best of the movies. So much so, that it brought about a number of sequels and additions to the series. Such as Spiderman 2, Spiderman 3, and Spider-man: Far from Home. Peter Parker (Toby Maguire) is bitten by a genetically altered spider and becomes Spiderman. He learns to use his superpowers to fight crime after his uncle is killed by an armed robber.
Thor
This Thor movie is based on Marvel
Comics character of the same name which was released in 2011. With Thor being
banished from Asgard to Earth. We find that he has been stripped of his powers and
Mjölnir – his hammer. As this all unfolds, his brother Loki wants to conquer
the Asgardian throne. Thor has not only inspired movies but console games and
even slot games like those found at the Kitty
Bingo site! This movie is directed
by Kenneth Branagh and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman.
Avengers
The Avengers franchise began in
2012, based on Marvel Comics main characters, the movie was written and
directed by Joss Whedon. The cast included Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson,
Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgård, Chris
Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, and many others. In the movie, we find Nick Fury and
the spy agency S.H.I.E.L.D. recruiting superheroes to stop Thor’s brother Loki
from conquering Earth.
Iron Man
This movie is probably one of the
most popular Marvel movies. Robert Downey Jr. stars as Tony Stark the billionaire
and inventor. He tests and sells the latest weapons technology. Yet, he runs
into trouble after he goes missing in Afghanistan. But he overcomes this after
building a prototype armoured suit which he then sets about perfecting. After all,
he is Ironman! This movie was directed by Job Favreau. It was followed by many
sequels such as Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3.
