Auction maket trading by Tom Alexander

I am thinking about signing up for the auction market trading course by Tom Alexander. I have heard good things about Tom Alexander and also think he is a genuine trader without any bs. I have also attended some webinars that Tom hosted and was impressed by his knowledge. This course is however expensive at 1500$ . I would like to know if anyone here has taken this course and how has it benefitted your trading ?

Here is the link btw to the course

I think I would never pay that much for a trading course, unless it was one on one and they were literally placing live trades in front of me and holding my hand the entire way. Even then, probably not. The internet has all you need for free, and books are relatively cheap as secondary learning materials. Yes it might take more work and brain power on your part, but I think that's a valuable part of the journey. Just my two cents.

I appreciate your comment with a slight caveat a trader with years of experience can cut down learning curve by a lot thereby leading you to be profitable much sooner. I read another post by a successful futures trader on Twitter saying the same thing. Thanks for your comment and let us wait to hear from others that may have taken that course

I haven't taken the course but if you believe the guy is legit & you can afford it, why not.

there's a lot to be said for structured learning by people with great knowledge. even if it only improves your results by a couple of percent, it'll pay for itself very quickly.

sure that information no doubt already exists somewhere in the public domain, but from trainers you can learn how to think - which is hugely valuable.

the DIY approach is all well & good, but you never really know if you really 'get' something until you have direct feedback from someone that knows what they're doing.

i know tom. he's a fine trader, very knowledgable and a great way to get started with AMT, aka Market Profile.

If you search my posts here you'll see that i'm a long time market profile guy, and that i've recommended tom many times to others.

the naysayers on here have no idea what they're talking about. moreover, there's no supreme honor in the tortures of self-education at the expense of learning from someone credible and knowledgeable.

it will serve you well. good luck!

Never heard of the guy. There's more crap than good out there. And even the good can often be found for free, so it's often not worth paying for.

If you want to trade futures (ES) by price action, watch this guy everyday, https://www.youtube.com/user/PATsTrading. Yeah, he also sells (cheaply) some resources on his website, but he also gives everything away for free if you watch his daily trading recap videos.

Personally I think learning by your self is the best way to learn! Discover what your good at (not what others are good at)

As I Agree, it’s also nice to know where someone who is a successful trader failed and what they learned from it.

But self knowledge is one of the best ways to learn, especially with how powerful the Internet is.
