Don�t waste your time with Jim Dalton material because it is totally irrelevant nowadays, Tom Alexander�s book does a great job of condensing everything you need to know, actually, you can get away by reading only his book, he ditched what was irrelevant and kept the usable bits.

CBOT�s market profile handbook is also an interesting read.

There is no such thing as best, you are asking the wrong questions. This is a hard, solo trial and error path. You have to choose which timeframe you wanna trade first, are you intraday trader? Swing trader? Choose your trading timeframe, then go down one or two timeframes and call that your entry/exit timeframe. There is no cake recipe, and you should not be asking around "what is best, what I do?", only you know yourself. You can train 100 people to trade with the exact same approach, rules, etc.. and still 90% will lose money, because the problem is the people.

As Gauer has described, the time frame where you want to trade standart is M30
