Kakucho is the “hitto” of the Four Heavenly Kings of Tenjiku, and has a strength that sets him apart from the other Four Heavenly Kings: Kanji Mochizuki, Ran Haitani, Rindou Haitani and Shion Madarame.
(“hitto” means the strongest in Japanese.)

As we will see later, Izana Kurokawa admits that Kakucho is the only one who is strong enough to be the main force in Tenjiku, and he is the number two in Tenjiku after Izana Kurokawa.

Let’s take a look at the actual battle scenes of Kakucho and see how strong he is.

[Tokyo Revengers] The strength of Kakucho! The descriptions and battle scenes in the manga!

Here are some of the fight scenes and other descriptions of Kakucho’s strength in the manga.

The first time Kakucho appears in the manga is just before the “Kanto Incident” begins, when Tenjiku makes a surprise attack on Tokyo Manji gang.

Although there aren’t that many battle scenes, he shows his unusual strength.

Kakucho can hold his own against Smiley (Nahoya Kawata).

In the 129th chapter of the 15th volume of the manga, Takemichi, Smiley and the others went to the hideout of Tenjiku in order to outsmart the Tenjiku ambush.

There, Kakucho was waiting for them, and it was one-on-one battle between Smiley and Kakucho.

After a back-and-forth battle, Smiley won, but in fact Kakucho deliberately lost the match because he wanted to talk to Takemichi.

As proof of this, when Smiley threw the dropkick, Kakucho laughed and pretended to be fainted even though he could have avoided it.

At this point, at least, you can see that he is strong enough to stage a one-on-one battle against the captain of 4th division in Tokyo Manji gang without really trying.

Kakucho’s true strength was depicted in chapter 164 of volume 19 of the manga, around the middle of the “Kanto Incident“.

The awakened Angry defeated Rindou Haitani, Ran Haitani, Kanji Mochizuki, and Yasuhiro Muto one after another, but even Angry was KO’d in one shot by Kakucho.

He then went on to defeat Inupi and Chifuyu in a matter of seconds, KOing them all with one shot, changing the situation of the war on his own.

Just when Tokyo Manji gang thought they had found their light with Angry’s awakening, Kakucho went on a warpath, and they were instantly pushed back into the lead.

In the 164th chapter of the 19th volume of the manga, Izana Kurokawa was watching Kakucho’s unbeatable performance and said,

Kakucho’s strong.
I guess the rest of the 4 heavenly kings are useless.
Tenjiku’s strongest is Kakucho alone, after all.

The other Four Heavenly Kings are also quite strong, but even they were hazy, so strong was the Kakucho.

After crushing the main force of Tokyo Manji gang in an instant, Kakucho went one-on-one with Takemichi in chapter 165 of volume 19 of the manga.

However, Takemichi was no match for Kakucho, who was strong enough to instantly defeat the awakened Angry, and he continued to be beaten up one-sidedly without even being able to land a single shot.

However, Takemichi’s unyielding mentality kept him on his feet despite the constant attacks from Kakucho, and gradually Kakucho began to hesitate to attack him.

As you will see later, Kakucho is a kind man, and he could not let his childhood friend die by his own hands.

However, despite his strength, Kakucho is not an evil person, but rather the only conscience of Tenjiku.

The following is a description of Kakucho’s character.

  • Asking Takemichi to save Izana Kurokawa (Vol. 15, Episode 129)
  • Opposing Izana to kill Emma (Vol. 17, Episode 144)
  • Stopping Mucho from bringing out his dagger (Vol. 19, episode 164)
  • Not being able to finish off Takemichi (Vol. 19, episode 165)
  • Stopping Izana from shooting Mikey (Vol. 20, Episode 175)

Kakucho is impressive not only because of his strength, but also because he is an enemy character, yet his character is completely kind and very good.
