Sex & Nudity

  • One scene at a beach where females have revealing bathing suits.can check the episode guide for more information about skipping these scenes without losing context
  • In a scene at a public bathhouse, characters are seen naked, although everything "explicit" is blurred or not shown. There is full back nudity though.
  • In the uncensored version, in one of the first episodes, a woman in underwear is on top on the main character. the top of her breasts is visible. The scene is reminded several times throughout the season.
  • One of the major characters lives in a brothel. There a few scenes/flashbacks that take place here. Women are seen walking around in very sheer and revealing lingerie. However complete nudity is not shown.
  • Male characters are often seen shirtless or wearing open jackets without a top.
  • Mild porn references are made throughout the series. Magazines and used tissues are visualized in some episodes.
  • The main character makes a some comments throughout the series regarding that he is still a virgin.

Violence & Gore

  • A lot of scenes of gang violence and fighting not too much blood.
  • The show is filled with bloody faces, broken noses and fist fights.
  • A character gets stabbed in the hand.
  • A young man is shown stabbed in the stomach, blood pools out below him, and he almost dies

Profanity

  • Frequent Profanity , No F-words but there are more and very frequent.
  • Tons of A words and S words. B words are in but not used as often. A person doesn't say the F word but he says no fing way
  • The swearing is more strong in the manga than in the anime
  • The f-bomb is dropped a few times in the second season in both the subtitled and dubbed versions.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Nearly the entire second season revolves around the theme of domestic abuse. There are disturbing scenes of a 16 year old male character physically abusing his 15 year old sister and traumatizing his 14 year old brother.

Violence & Gore

  • There is one pretty graphic shot showing the aftermath of a car crash, where a girl who is barely alive says she "can't feel her legs anymore." The camera moves back to show that her entire bottom half (below her waist) is gone, and there is some bone sticking out (presumably her spine). Although it is somewhat obscured by dark lighting, it's difficult to miss and is on screen for ~5-10 full seconds.
  • One of the MC best friends commits suicide where he says "I'm too scared of him, there's no way out, save everyone, our crybaby hero." you see him dead after jumping off the building
  • One character stabs themselves to sacrifice themselves.
  • Characters have used metal pipes to swing a hit at other's heads. Blood is shown.
  • Some characters are shot in the head and killed. Some of them are off screen, some aren't and blood spray/bullet holes are visible.
  • A few characters commit suicide and off screen suicide references are made.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A gang members girlfriend gets abused and raped in front of him. Nothing is shown but she is in a coma and the audience sees her battered face later.
  • Due to time travel, many beloved characters are shown to die multiple times in alternate futures. Most of these deaths are very emotional
  • A 15 year old girl is physically abused by her older brother. She receives multiple punches to the face and gets a church pew thrown at her. Her face is bloodied and bruised. This goes on for a good chunk of time and can be disturbing to some viewers.
  • There are multiple flashbacks in the second season of an older brother physically abusing his two younger siblings at an elementary school age. The kids are heard and seen screaming and crying, they also have bruises on their face. Their older brother tells him that he loves them after beating them. This is very disturbing to watch.
  • A girl is hit in the head with a metal bat by a motorcycle driver at a high speed. The impact is loud and she has blood on her head and dies on her brother's back. This scene is very intense and emotional.
