The League alumna Katie Aselton has joined the Season 2 cast of HBO‘s Togetherness in a recurring role.
Aselton will join her husband and Togetherness co-creator and star Mark Duplass in the comedy series. Written, directed and executive produced by Duplass and his brother Jay Duplass, Togetherness follows two couples living under the same roof who struggle to keep their relationships alive while pursuing their individual dreams. Details of Aselton’s role are being kept under wraps. Amanda Peet, Melanie Lynskey and Steve Zissis also star.
Aselton is best known for playing superior fantasy football player Jenny on FXX’s The League, which recently wrapped its seventh and final season. She can next be seen in Larry Sher’s upcoming film Bastards alongside Ed Helms and Owen Wilson. Other credits include roles in Joel Edgerton‘s thriller The Gift and Gus Van Sant‘s upcoming drama Sea Of Trees, which premiered at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. Aselton is also an accomplished writer/director whose credits include the comedy The Freebie and thriller Black Rock, in which she also co-starred.
Aselton is repped by ICM Partners, Untitled Entertainment and attorney Warren Dern.
Togetherness Season 2 premieres on Sunday, February 21.
