Born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, in Brownsville, Tennessee and raised in nearby Nutbush, Tina's musical journey began in her early years, eventually leading her to become an internationally acclaimed artist. Tina initially gained fame and recognition as part of the duo Ike & Tina Turner, captivating audiences with their energetic performances and notable hits. Their success as a musical pair, including songs like: "Proud Mary," "River Deep – Mountain High" and "Nutbush City Limits," garnered widespread attention and propelled Tina's career forward. Subsequently, Tina made the decision to embark on a solo career, showcasing her powerful vocals and stage presence. Her solo breakthrough came with the release of the album "Private Dancer" (1984), which featured well-known tracks like: "What's Love Got to Do with It," "Private Dancer" and "Better Be Good to Me." Outside of music, she acted in films such as: "Tommy" (1975) and "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome" (1985). Tina retired in May 2009 following her 50th Anniversary Tour. She cherished her private life and focused on spending time with loved ones from her home in Switzerland.
