Biography

Timothy Alan Dick was born on the 13th of June, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, United States. He was introduced to Gerald M. Dick (father) and Martha Katherine Dick (daughter) (mother). His father worked as a real estate agent, but he died tragically in a traffic accident in 1964. His mother was employed as a waitress. Following his father’s death, his mother married a business executive who was a high school friend. He is the oldest of three siblings, who include two brothers and a sister. Because he has two older brothers, he is the second oldest child. He grew up in Birmingham, Michigan, and moved about with his mother and brothers.

Seaholm High School was his alma mater. He then transferred to Central Michigan University, where he completed his BSc degree in communications with a focus on TV and radio production, before transferring to Western Michigan University to finish his degree. He has completed his design and philosophy minors. He received an honorary degree in Fine Arts in 1998.

Career

Tim started his career as a comedian at night at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle club. He later went into advertisements (TV Commercials). He migrated to Los Angeles and performed at the Comedy Store. He appeared on night talk shows to perform stand-up comedy in a presentation entitled “Comedy Dirtiest Dozen.”

The show “Home Improvement” ran successfully for nine long years (from 1991-1999). The show brought tremendous success and loads of recognition for him. These years took his career to the highest peak. In the following years, he worked in “The Santa Clause” – a family comedy-adventure movie. He also worked in “Toy Story”-the animated comedy adventure movie that further enriched his career.

In 2018-2019, he functioned in the comedy series- “Last Man Standing’ and ‘Toy Story” installments. He is also currently working on other topical series.

After courting for nearly five years, he married Jane Hajduk in 2006. Jane is a well-known actress. Elizabeth, their daughter, was born in March 2009. He was detained at the Battle Creek International Airport in 1978 for having over 700 grams of cocaine in his possession. He was later found guilty and sentenced to over three years in prison.
