Tim Albin’s Salary and Contract in 2024

Albin signed a two-year contract extension in March 2023, increasing his annual salary to $700,000 in 2024 and extending the Bobcats head coach to 2026.

Under the previous deal, ESPN reports that Albin was due to be paid an annual salary of $535,000, but that increases to $700,000 plus incentives under the contract extension.

There are several bonuses and incentives included in Albin’s contract. USA Today reports that if Ohio reaches eight regular season wins or lifts the MAC championship, Albin receives a $5,000 bonus and an automatic one-year contract extension.

For nine regular season wins, Albin would receive a further $5,000. Meanwhile, the Bobcats head coach gets a £30,150 bonus if Ohio wins a bowl game.

Ohio is Albin’s second successful head coaching stint. His other venture into leadership was between 1997 and 1999, when he was head coach of the NAIA independent school Northwestern Oklahoma State.

He held a 25-8 record over his three seasons in the role.

Albin has been head coach in Ohio since 2021 and — after finishing 3-9 in his inaugural season — has back-to-back 10-win seasons.

Under his tenure, the Bobcats have also won consecutive bowl games, beating Wyoming 30-27 in the 2022 Arizona Bowl and leaving the Myrtle Beach Bowl victorious in 2023 with a 41-21 win over Georgia Southern.

Albin’s Net Worth

Albin’s net worth is currently not reported. However, we can assume that the Ohio head coach has amassed considerable wealth over his long career.

Furthermore, using USA Today’s Salary Tracker, we know how much Albin has earned in annual salaries since 2009.

Since 2009, Albin has earned $3.1 million in annual salaries. However, this number excludes bonuses, incentives, or perks. While it is a considerable financial gain, it only reflects salaries since 2009 when Albin was offensive coordinator at Ohio.
