What travelers are saying
- timfosLuleå, Sweden16 contributionsI not only went to Michigan State (Advertising, 1988), but I grew up in East Lansing. When I come back home to East Lansing, which is generally once or twice per year, I make every effort to spend some time over on campus. There is something special about this place.Written November 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nomapsonmytaps3 contributionsMy daughter took me here for mother's day and it was a beautiful treat. The gardens are lovely and serene plus the exhibits are very educational. A great place for the entire family!Written November 30, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- packy43East Lansing, MI25 contributionsHaving attended several different performances at Wharton I can only say that we are VERY fortunate to have such a facility available in East Lansing. When Wharton first opened several years ago it was billed as the most acoustically perfect theater in existence. I now use hearing aids so I expect that the sound system may have changed.
I have several vision impaired friends and some performances (if interested, contact Wharton to learn more) are described through a headset for those guests. We can enjoy the performances together.
Anyone planning attend should plan ahead and learn what is scheduled for the season.Written January 26, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brian TEast Lansing, MI33 contributionsThis is a fun place to take children or a date. Obviously, this is a warmer weather place to go. Easiest to see after students are gone.Written February 11, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- aspen24Aitkin, MN142 contributionsAmazing day in East Lansing! The atmosphere around the stadium was great-tons of tailgating and very friendly people. The only negative was the limited bathroom facilities in the stadium. We were on the upper deck and there were no womens bathrooms unless you went down two levels. Then you waited in line down the concourse to get into an old and small bathroom. - Daryl HGrand Rapids, MI645 contributionsWent here for a large business event. I will say it was so clean up to date and organized. There was a sense of security even though I did not see any officers.Written November 6, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Diana1 contributionI was in desperate search of a specific painting for 2 years. Roy contacted the artist herself numerous times. Because of his outreach and incredibly diligent work, I now have the painting I have always wanted. He was kind, considerate, clear, and determined; there are no better qualities in a business owner! This gallery and Roy's work is outstanding. I am so grateful to have found him!Written February 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SnowbirdieLis16 contributionsI love to take my children here for midweek homeschool showings. The presentations are interesting and informative. I would give five stars, however, their projector seems a little out dated? I am not a planetarium expert by any stretch...but I would enjoy this if it were a more crisp and vivid picture that was being projected on the dome. Totally worth it though.Written July 10, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mark PSwampscott, MA2,383 contributionsThe Broad is located on the MSU campus. The design is striking, though in important ways it limits the art that can be exhibited. The collection and exhibitions are hit and miss, though this is not unusual for college art museums. Admission is free, though, and for those in East Lansing it is worth a visit.Written July 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah_David_HDeWitt, MI23 contributionsNew location in Reo Town area of Lansing at 1314 S Washington Ave. Went on Saturday night for their soft opening. For a soft opening staff was well trained and took orders immediate. Appetizer were great. Onion rings handmade on site and fried pickles. Both were very good. Pizza variety great. We tried three different ones and all were perfectly cooked. Had their desert beer very good. Raspberry chocolate stout flavor.
Will go again.Written January 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
