- Roger L2 contributionsWe went for the fishing as Clear Lake is touted as the best bass fishing lake in California. Over two different week-long trips we, two of us, caught maybe a dozen bass. It is TOUGH fishing, probably because the lake is overfished. We even had a guide one day and we caught only two fish with his help. - Ringler7071 contributionMy son and his friend had a great day on the lake with Bob! I also tagged along :). On a day where everyone was complaining about the bite being bad and even pros were coming to the boat ramps saying that it’s tough out there, we went out with Bob and caught 21 bass!! Bob went thru several different set-ups until he found what the fish were hitting. Once Bob figured it out, we were killing it. Clear lake is Bob’s playground. - Jono S4 contributionsHad a great time learning and fishing with Carl. He had top quality equipment and has a tone of knowledge to help get you on the fish. Not only did we catch huge bass but we also say a bunch of really cool wildlife(bobcats, otters, birds and more).
