- WandererHolbeach, UK401 contributionsA lovely cove to sit up and watch sea lions and seals from in the natural habitats, watching them dive, play and sunbathe was a special experience.Written April 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - April MSan Diego, CA1 contributionThe pilot was experienced and I felt very comfortable. It was a beautiful day, it was peaceful and beautiful. - Terri DefilippiReno, NV3 contributionsThis monument is beautiful. It is so nicely maintained. We were lucky enough to speak with a docent who showed us all the well known people on the plaques. The 360 degree views are breathtaking. I highly recommend it.Written March 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chantae RSuva, Fiji3 contributionsThere are few places nicer than LJ shores to spend a day. Sea lions and seals so close by, scuba diving, surfing, lounging in the sand... plus a park for the kids. This beach is usually patrolled and also super clean. Great way to spend a day and cafes/restaurants are just a short walk away. TIP -- shuffle your feet when in the water to scoot away stingrays.Written January 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JoshBazColumbia, IL89 contributionsCool little aquariums all over with some larger displays. Outside, the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Inside can get a little crowded, but not too bad.
I'd say plan for a couple of hours here and enjoy yourself.
The only downside of the place is the parking. Parking is TERRIBLE. Expect to wait a while to get into the lot if that's where you are planning on parking. We wound up parking on the street, which I later saw a sign is for permits only. However, we didn't get a ticket, so......Written March 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was about 5:30 when I arrived and when we got there, there were about 20 seals sleeping on the beach. They were so cute, and then some awful human being snuck up on them from the rocks and scared them and they all slid into the water. The beach is closed this time of year because it is pupping season, and they don't want the seals to be bothered. I am lucky I got there when I did because if I had arrived just 5 minutes later, they would have been gone.Written January 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rosa M2 contributionsAwesome and up close view of wildlife, sea lions, seals, pelicans and other numerous birds. Hike to the cliffs and view kayakers approaching the sea caves. Make sure to visit the Cave Store and take the stairs to access the sea cave.
Numerous restaurants dot the area. Gelato stores are a must.Written January 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We planned our day based on information given by the La Historical Society!
We walked to the red carpet entrance, and got our wristbands. We were each given a brochure on the event, and entered.
It was a beautiful event in a beautiful park, and highly disabled-friendly! OH the PEOPLE and the CARS, CARS, CARS. GREEN GRASS, and GREEN TREES!!!

- spcoverScarsdale, NY48 contributionsVery pleasant way to spend 1-2 hours on a Sunday morning. Came here with our family of five (all adults). Lots of tents with arts and crafts, more tents with food stalls (and good food at that!). It is good if you come when you're hungry. LOL There is also a very big farmers market where you can get fresh and organic fruits and vegetables. My wife and I got some vegetables and tomatoes for dinner. Somehow my son came back having bought a pound of pastrami! It was very good. We ate it for lunch later. His girlfriend ate a gluten free tamale at one of the stands and enjoyed it very much. And my daughter bought a very nice souvenir candle for a friend. All in all a good trip. Would recommend.Written September 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Voyager_Nineteen71Pune, India585 contributionsIt is a very beautiful campus and we accessed the various colleges and student facilities over 3 days. The library was stunning, and the various colleges had their own different setups. It is better to hire a car here as San Diego is expensive and Uber rates are high. We visited the sports area too and they were up to the mark. There are different restaurants near all the colleges and one can decide which to frequent the most. Groceries are expensive here as compared to outside rates for the convenience aspect.Written July 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
