'In one night, Thibaut gave me what I missed with Kevin for years'. Truth behind 'hatred' between De Bruyne and Courtois

Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois are undoubtedly two stars in their respective positions but the two don't get along at all - despite putting on the same national team shirt.

The reason behind their mutual hatred is simple: Courtois stole Kevin's girlfriend back in 2014 - she admitted herself to having a fling with Tibo, but insisted it happened only after KdB cheated on her.

"In the summer of 2012, Kevin told me that he had an affair with my old best friend. I gave him the choice: her or me," she told Belgian newspaper Sport.

"I was ready to give him another chance, but our relationship was never the same afterwards.

"Thibaut gave me in that one night, what I'd sorely missed for three years with Kevin.

"With Thibaut I could have good conversations and he also cooked nicely for me. Such a thing Kevin never did. And then suddenly we clicked."

De Bruyne and Courtois have been in open conflict ever since. Former Belgium manager Marc Wilmots even asked the former if he should avoid calling up the latter, such was KdB's importance for the team. Kevin's answer was simple.

"Although I still can not believe what Courtois has done, we continue to work together professionally, " he wrote in his autobiography.

"The coach asked me if he should leave the team. I do not think I had the right to say that he can not play for the national team anymore because he did something wrong. Of course he remains a good goalkeeper. So I said he could stay."

Why Cristiano Ronaldo will never swap shirts with AS Roma players

In 2007, Cristiano Ronaldo was emerging as a world-class footballer while playing for Man United.

In the Champions League quarterfinal, the Red Devils dispatched Roma after being them 7-1 at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo was one of the main driving forces of that team, scoring twice and providing two assists. He was not too pleased with the way the Roma players treated him, though.

"When it was 6-0, they asked me to stop, an opponent begged me to stop dribbling," he said at the time, as quoted by Express.

"Others threatened to hurt me. Roma? There is no player with whom I would exchange a shirt."

Now, Ronaldo plays Roma twice a year in Serie A, but we're yet to see him exchange shirts with their players so apparently, he still holds the grudge.

'Last thing they would want'. Raiola reportedly issues an ultimatum to Borussia regarding Erling Haaland

Mino Raiola is employing some underhand tactics in a bid to get Borussia Dortmund to sell Erling Haaland this summer, according to respected English journalist Leah Smith.

Raiola has warned Dortmund they stand the risk of losing their prized asset to Bayern Munich next summer if they don't sell him now, which is the last thing they would want.

Haaland's €75-100m release clause can only be triggered in 2022 which means Bayern can swoop in and activate it just as they did with Mario Gotze back in 2015.

BVB have insisted they do not want to sell their starman this year as they continue to battle for a Champions League place for next season.

The 20-year-old has plundered a staggering 37 goals in 38 appearances and is deemed one of the hottest properties in Europe.
