Description
Their Own Desire (MGM, 1929). One Sheet (27" X 41").Norma Shearer gives an impressive performance as the embittered child of divorced parents. The free spirited girl eventually finds love in the arms of Robert Montgomery, until she discovers a unfortunate secret. Belle Bennett costars as Shearer's jilted mother, while Lewis Stone plays her philandering father. Shearer shined in the role, and earned herself an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. She lost the award to herself, receiving it instead for her performance as Jerry Martin from The Divorcee. This lovely stone litho poster is making its Heritage debut, with restoration to address fold wear, tears in the borders and image area, and a couple of crossfold chips. There was a tear within Norma Shearer's face, and slivers of paper loss with chips along the borders have been replaced. Fine+ on Linen.
