WAIMH 2024 Interim World Congress Registration is open!

This year, WAIMH will be holding an Interim World Congress in Tampere, Finland in order to resume the pattern of WAIMH World Congresses occurring in even years. It will take place from 5-7 June, in the Finnish summer. The Congress theme is "Looking for the Best Care for Babies, Young Children, and Their Families". World Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Day (WICAMHD) 23rd April 2024

Laying the Path for Lifelong Wellness Lecture Series 2022

In 2022, the Infant and Early Mental Health Promotion (IEMHP) organization at The Hospital for Sick Children partnered with WAIMH and Tampere University to develop and launch a 15-part online series that brings together experts in infant and early mental health from around the world. Due to increased interest in the series, we have extended access until December 31st, 2025 for everyone. Read more and register today!

From the Desk of the President of WAIMH

Campbell Paul: "A huge challenge for us all is to see what we can do, as members of WAIMH, in the aftermath of major catastrophes, conflict and war, to ensure that our infants and young children are still able to develop with a sense of hope and positive moral strength." He believes that the upcoming WAIMH Interim Congress in June 2024, in Tampere, will be an important opportunity for us to meet up in person to talk through some of these crucial dilemmas.

Stardust: Growing the field of infant mental health in Zimbabwe

Salisha Maharaj (South Africa) sat down for an interview with June Manala and Rachel Makoni to hear more about the work they are doing in Zimbabwe through a project called Stardust. Founded in 2007 by Judy Davies, the Stardust project has continued its legacy in providing contextually relevant support and professional development to organisations and individuals working with infants and their caregivers across various public and NGO sectors.
