Robbie Amell as Gallatin

Robbie Amell plays a guerrilla Scoia’tael fighter named Gallatin, who butts heads with Francesca. The actor is best known for starring in projects like The DUFF, The Flash, Upload, and The Babysitter. He’s the cousin of Arrow star Stephen Amell and is married to actress Italia Ricci.

Cassie Clare as Philippa Eilhart

Technically, Cassie Clare joined The Witcher in season 2, but she only briefly appeared in her human form during the finale, so I’m counting her here because she has a much more significant role in The Witcher season 3.

The British star plays the powerful sorceress and polymorph Philippa Eilhart, who spent most of season 2 in her owl form. Netflix fans might recognize the actress from The Sandman where she portrayed Mazikeen. She also previously starred in the Netflix film What Happened to Monday.

Nathan Armarkwei Laryea as Valdo Marx

Valdo Marx is a renowned poet and a famed rival of Jaskier’s. He debuts in season 3 and is played by Doctor Who‘s Nathan Armarkwei Laryea.

Safiyya Ingar as Keira Metz

In The Witcher universe, Keira Metz is another powerful sorceress and eventual member of the Lodge of Sorceresses. She’s also a former advisor to King Foltest of Temeria, though it’s unclear if she has the same background in the show. We get to meet Keira for the first time in season 3. She’s portrayed by actress Safiyya Ingar, who recently lent her voice to games like Diablo IV and Valkyrie Elysium.

Cal Watson as Eva

Another new character in The Witcher season 3 is Eva, a Redanian handmaiden and servant to Queen Hedwig, who Philippa takes as a lover. Eva is played by Cal Watson, who has appeared in shows like The Peripheral and Britannia.

Rochelle Rose as Margarita Laux-Antille

Death in Paradise actress Rochelle Rose is playing the Aretuza rectoress Margarita Laux-Antille, another eventual member of the Lodge of Sorceresses.

Frances Pooley as Teryn

Frances Pooley is an up-and-coming actress from Versailles and Bridgerton who has been cast as Teryn in season 3. She plays the show’s “fake” Ciri.

Hugh Skinner as Prince Radovid

Prince Radovid is a bit different in the show as he’s actually King Vizimir’s younger brother rather than his son. Radovid will be played by the English actor Hugh Skinner who has appeared in musicals like Les Misérables and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. He also played Harry in Fleabag and recently starred in The Invitation.

Catherine McCormack as Anika

English actress Catherine McCormack, from Braveheart and 28 Weeks Later fame, plays a healer named Anika who previously knew Geralt’s mother.

In addition to the characters listed above, the new season will feature Jim Sturgeon as the royal messenger Aplegatt, Tracy-Ann Oberman as King Vizimir’s wife Queen Hedwig, Dempsey Bovell as Anika’s partner Otto Dussart, Giuseppe Lentini as the dwarven banker Giancardi, Stuart Thompson as Giancardi’s apprentice Fabio, and Beau Holland as one of Jaskier’s lovers, Vespula.

We are also very briefly introduced to the show’s version of Mistle, an eventual love interest of Ciri and a member of the outlaw gang calling themselves The Rats. Mistle is played by Christelle Elwin and will reportedly be in The Witcher spinoff/prequel series The Rats, rumored to be in production.

The Witcher season 3 part 1 is now streaming on Netflix. Part 2 is coming on July 27, 2023.
