'The Cuphead Show!' Trailer, Poster & Debut Date Revealed

“You know what I do when I’m not so sure?” asks the enthusiastic Cuphead of brother Mugman in the trailer for Netflix’s new show based on the award-winning video game. “I double down!”

Based on the first trailer for The Cuphead Show!, creators Chad and Jared Moldenhauer have doubled down on the frantic energy and retro animation style that made the game a hit with kids and adults alike. The 12-episode first season of the show will debut on Netflix February 18.

Reminiscent of the surreal and inventive work of the Fleischer Brothers, The Cuphead Show! follows the misadventures of the loveable Cuphead and his cautious but easily-swayed brother Mugman as they scour the Inkwell Isles in search of fun and adventure.

The show will feature some of the game’s iconic bosses as well as Ms. Chalice, the diabolical King Dice (voiced by Wayne Brady) and the Devil himself.

The voice cast includes Tru Valentino (Cuphead), Frank Todaro (Mugman), Joe Hanna (Elder Kettle), Luke Millington-Drake (Devil), Grey Griffin (Ms. Chalice) and Wayne Brady (King Dice).

For King Features, C.J. Kettler will serve as the Executive Producer and Cuphead creators Chad and Jared Moldenhauer will serve as Executive Producers for Studio MDHR. The series will be produced by Netflix Animation and is executive produced by Emmy and Annie Award-winning producer, Dave Wasson and co-executive produced by Cosmo Segurson.
