Punong Gary's Place was a perfect place for destressing from the hustle and bustle of the city life . A kilometer array of mahogany and mango trees going to the place was already a delightful scenery. You were then greeted by nature, a canopy of...old-aged trees with branches intertwining and the singing of birds made the day trip so relaxing. While enjoying your stay outdoors, exploring the tranquility of nature, they offered variety of delish foods as well and the customer service was welcoming too.More

Go to this place if you want to relax and bask yourself in nature. I think it was really nice for this family to share their hacienda with guests so that people can feel like hacienderas even just for a weekend. Pros 1) lovely cozy...place 2) super nice owner, miss bing, and josephine who made sure we had everything we needed 3) very ig worthy spots everywhere 4) we asked if they had buko and they got for us straight from the tree 5) yummy breakfast. They even set up a special breakfast for us on the island 6) fresh fish dishes... really a must try 7) clean and nice rooms Cons 1) casita given to us was too far. It was a good 5 minute walk from the main area. We had to pass by the fish pens. A little scary if your walking at night. But please note the path was lit 2) the casita where we stayed had an unbearable stench in the bathroom which can really spoil your beautiful stay. 3) being in the midst of fishponds and sugarcane fields. The water in the bathroom smelled like rust and earthy. 4) pool is not maintained. Do not be fooled by the pics because it had leaves all over. Still our overnight stay at punong garys was quite an experience. It was nice to unwind in a serene place with lots of foliage and relaxing spots. I just hope they address the bathroom and water issues Did i regret staying? No. I was happy i had the hacienda experience. Will i go stay there again? Once is enough for me.More

If you need to take a quick break from the mundane city life, just 30 minutes north of Bacolod, you will find that perfect place to recharge. The entire experience is a treat from the moment you take the left turn from the highway going...to Punong Gary's Place. I am not great with words but this place just does something to your soul that after at least two or three hours in this place, you will feel rested, relaxed and of course, full. =)More

We came here for lunch with family. The location is beautiful! It was relaxing to walk around and just take in the sights and quietness. The food and service was good. Silay is already a quiet city but if you want to be in tranquil surroundings, Punong Gary's Place is where to be. It is an inland resort located in Hacienda Tinihaban, about 10 minutes' drive to the north of Silay City, after the Luguay Bridge....You will find the resort's sign on the left side of the road after Pryce Gases. It is a small dirt road that only allows 1 vehicle. Should you meet an oncoming vehicle, there are shoulders along the way where you can pause to give way. It is an 8-minute drive to the resort itself, a little more than a kilometer. Be on the lookout for signs that will guide you. There is a large parking area outside and a smaller one inside next to the entrance. You can grab a spot in the inner parking space if you are early. We booked a table for a 5-course lunch and the food was delicious and came with a refreshing complimentary drink. Dinner and tapas is also available and booking is essential to avoid disappointment. There are casitas (small houses) available for guests who want to stay overnight or a few days. The place is divine and absolutely beautiful. Green and lush, tastefully furnished. Fishpond all around. For other activities, I saw 2 kayaks and there is a swimming pool and a piano near the bar for entertainment. Photos are attached for the reader's appreciation.More

I was lucky enough to see the place both in the day time and at night. After being invited to attend a wedding there, although a semi long drive from our hotel, it was worth the trip. The rough roads would lead to a picturesque...road between tall trees. Picture worthy, even just before the entrance to Punong Gary's Place, you wouldn't miss getting out of your van and taking a picture by the road. The feel is very Bali, maybe a little bit bohemian. There are a few cabanas up for rent ( although I wasn't able to ask for the price but I'm pretty sure its a little bit pricey) but the entire area is instagram worth. There is a spacious area to set up a reception for guests. and a covered bar area to prep up a buffet table. Just a walk away is a elongated swimming pool you would definitely take a dip into. The area is surrounded by ponds and tall trees which is why heat wouldn't be a problem. Best for holding intimate wedding receptions and celebrations, Punong Gary's Place is definitely a place that boasts comfort and serenity. Take a tour around the entire area and you will find other secret treasures you'd definitely enjoyMore

Punong Gary's Place is beautiful! From the drive to it's gates until you get indoors. It's a place where you can retreat from the chaos of city life. It's breathtaking. However, I was so disappointed with the food. The place has rooms which you can...rent out, which aren't cheap, and for the price they are asking, I think they should hire a really good chef. It's a 6 course menu and as the food was being served, I kept hoping it would taste better than the previous dish. Maybe this early, they could do something regarding this matter. I'm sure if they served good food they'd always be fully bookedMore

While the road going there was rough, the sheer beauty of the whole place more than covered for it. A beautiful fusion of concrete construction and the flora and fauna of nature welcomed us as soon as we entered the venue. The surrounding trees provided...for ample shade for areas without cover- a must if the sun is on its worst days. Reservation is a must for guests so one would need to call beforehand as they provide for fixed set menus. The only variable choices are their soup and main course. Food was good and in healthy enough portions that won't leave you feeling bloated. Definitely something that I would recommend guests to try at least once. I'm actually interested in their Tapa Nights as the place would pretty much look magical at night paired with drinks of course.More

An off- the-track place, and one needs to call ahead as the menus are set daily. You get a choice, but they are planned ahead. We called, and finally found the place, after a bit of searching. The place is quite rustic and provides ample..."respite" areas while waiting for lunch. It is also quite serene. On the day we visited, we had appetizers: Fish crisp on citrus sauce, Chicken ala king popover and tomato and basil bruschetta; Tahini salad and Roasted pumpkin soup; we were given a choice of Pan-seared sea bass, slow-cooked pork belly, Beef pochero or Free-range chicken pesto parmesan. Also a choice of pasta, Gambas al ajillo, seafood in lemon cream sauce or pasta Bolognese. Dessert was Vanillamansi ice cream. The group of three pre-ordered three different entrees, and we all finished or plates clean!More
