I have stayed here many times over the years. I was disappointed this time. We had a nice room but the bathroom was very small and water leaked out of the shower onto the floor which was a little rotten. My main disappointment was the breakfast, it was very over crowded and on a number of mornings I gave up waiting for the cooked breakfast as the line was too long. On some mornings I gave up on breakfast overall as there was were a number of people ahead of me waiting for tables. The staff at check-in were also not always very organised.

The President Hotel was one of the hotels I've always wanted to visit and it met every expectation from the time we entered to departure. We were treated respectfully and with great care. One of the main reasons we chose the hotel was because I've always wanted to experience the awesome buffet breakfast I always heard so much about. Sadly Covid restrictions didn't allow for it but the breakfast was still banging. Well done!

The Hotel is not the same anymore!!! It was my third time coming to this Hotel and I must say, the standard has dropped drastically. Breakfast is the same everyday, No generator, the staff is not helpful, except for Nadia and one African lady, forgot her name. To top it up, I lost something valuable in my room and I was told that they will investigate my case and was later informed that the implecated staff was found not guilty. So things just dissappear in that Hotel. Definitely not going back.

We had a wonderful experience in Capetown. It was our first time traveling to South Africa and the travel desk at the President hotel was so helpful. They guided us so well. The hotel is also in a great location, giving you access to supermarkets and restaurants which are walking distance.

The location and room were excellent. However, the service wasn't very good. Bell boy and the guy who served us the tea were excellent but the rest of the staff were unfriendly towards us and felt like they were more friendly and nice to white tourists but not us who are black. The water bottles in the room weren't washed properly and had lipstick marks from the day before.

We had a lovely stay for two weeks at the President Hotel in a 2 bedroom, one bathroom apartment. The room was very spacious and clean. The location is perfect for long morning walks along the seafront, and we enjoyed the breakfasts and swimming in the pool very much.

Stayed at the President for a recent trip with friends and was blown away by the friendliness and professional staff. The food was better than expected for a hotel and apartments we stayed in were spacious, bright and roomy. We felt safe walking to nearby restaurants, shops and the sea front is literally minutes away. Highly recommend this hotel is you are visiting Cape Town

The room is clean and bright and the staff are friendly (if unorganised...). For an overnight stay would be fine. I would not recommend as holiday or to relax. This feels like a transient hotel for airline and cruise staff with all available space sold for additional revenue. You cant relax around the pool with chairs being packed together so tightly that if you recline the lounger you are in someones lap. There have been childrens parties for the last 3 days in and around the pool so its impossible to move around the crowded terrace for waiters racing to the party area with e-numbers as the noise esculates. The pool becomes a kids party site - very loud. Then the games begin. We were recommended the hotel by BA but advised it was the only hotel available -…

Our double room suite with balcony facing the ocean was the most amazing thing to wake up to and see the sunrise against the ocean or the fading sunset at the end of the day. This unit offered perfect setup with two separate bedrooms and a large living room and small kitchen. Everything that we had hoped for. It was clean, modern and comfortable. And we had no issues with noise other than the squeaky front door. Excellent and comprehensive breakfast buffet with custom omelets station. Something for everyone to enjoy and great service throughout. Lovely pool area and outdoor bar.

The overall experience and location was great and the staff were friendly. I was not happy with the food service though. Our lunch order at the pool was wrong and took extremely long. The evenings room service was the chicken soup (it took an hour to get to my room) which was served with only a fork and a knife and the chicken was undercooked and pink inside. I reordered with the manager on duty and round 2 was delicious. The problem is not with the quality of food but the quality of service that accompanies it. as long as you pay with a credit card you will be covered, but maybe not through an email, go direct to the website to pay, never click a link in an email if you are even slightly unsure.

You can hold the shower in your hand in the room we stayed in.
Shower is in the bath.
