Awesome this is one of the best pubs I have had food in for a very long time. There food is next level top restaurant quality but at pub prices and all the staff were wonderful each taking ownership of making sure we were happy weather they were first to serve is or not. If you are in the area and love good food and people you need to come here 100%

The best place in Cork and Ireland in general.. . Why??
I've been in 3 times in a week whilst in the area and I've received the same warm friendly welcome each time.
All the staff in the pub/restaurant are awesome! So young! So helpful, super respectful and an absolute pleasure to deal with!
Great pub grub, cheap pints of cider and top claas service
Puts KINSALE TO SHAME!!!!!;
Aaron and Stephen and the young team helped me find and book into the best hotel I've been in in 3 years on this island :
Westlodge Hotel,🥰 will review the hotel separately
Thanks Stephen for not giving up on getting me accomadation!!
I'll be back!

A warm welcome, great food and a great atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed our early dinner there near the wood burning stove. My daughter declared the mussels to be the best she’s ever eaten. Excellent hake too. The accompanying vegetables were sublime but we couldn’t coax the secret ingredients from the staff! Highly recommended.

This place used to do some great food. Menu is limited but went for roast chicken. €14- not the best value. The chicken itself was large, but it hbeen caught in places and a little dry. Mash was lovely. Carrots well over done. Swede somehow diffenent pieces both under and over done. Gravy a little salty. However, the bigest sin of all was the stuffing, which had been turned over in an attempt to hid just how badly it had been burnt. It should never have been sent out. Service excellent, but will be a long time if ever before returning. Much better value and quality elsewhere.

We only used the restaurant. The service was okay though the young waiter ignored us a bit but the waitress made up for it. I had the risotto and it was good (not delicious, just good). My wife had the fish and chips and she didn't like it very much. Overall I recommend it.

We just popped in on the off chance as we were passing and fancied a bite to eat. The young lads serving were all friendly and helpful and the service throughout was great. We both decided to go for the roast chicken dinner and were more than happy with the choice. The portions were generous and the food was good quality and very tasty. In the context of decent pub grub, this ticked all the boxes and we would be very happy to return.

Great for lunch. Good menu. Friendly, professional staff. Two of us had vegetable soup. Delicious. 2 people had cappuccino, which they really liked. Very professional and courteous staff. Fire going, so nice and cosy. If they have the Croque Monsieur on the menu, order it! So delicious. But don't have the chips (French fries) as you won't fit them. Have a salad with instead.
Facilities were clean.

Recently stayed here . Only down side is the bedrooms really need to be updated.
On the plus , the staff are first class. Very pleasant in any dealings we had with them in reception, bar or restaurant. Very courtesy and nothing was too much to ask . Food in restaurant was exceptional all during our stay. All in all very happy with this establishment.

I visited Bantry Bay and the Bantry Bay Hotel last year. The accomodations and people of the city convinced me to add an extra day to my visit in the area. The people, most of all, were the reason to extend my stay. Everyone made me feel like I was 'family' and they couldn't do enough to make me feel welcome. The hotel was very accomodating. The food was excellant. My experience was such that I would really like to return and spend of couple of months in the city.
I was that impressed by the area and people.

I attended a function in the Bantry Bay Hotel in September. The food was excellent and of superior quality, plenty of it and beautifully presented. The staff were all local, very professional and couldn’t do enough for you. The owner was also available to see that everything ran smoothly and made everyone very welcome. A rarity nowadays for the owner to be available for a chat. For value, quality, quantity and a delightful staff. I would highly recommend the Bantry Bay Hotel.
