...I spent 5 nights at the President Hotel from the 13th November 2022. I did not book direct with the hotel but rather thro a booking agency... I made contact with the hotel to confirm that they had my reservation and also to request a room on an upper floor with a sea view... I was told that I had not booked a room with a sea view plus I would not be accommodated on the upper floors!!... It was suggested I check with reception on arrival to see if a room with a sea view was available but it would be and an additional charge per night!... Unfortunately the hotel was full on arrival so no chance of getting a room with a sea view however I could check again in the morning to see if a room might be available... The room I was allocated was huge with a very nice little kitchen area which had a microwave and a fridge, this I did not expect... I decided that I would just stay there and not waste a day waiting to see if I could get a room with a sea view... The Hotel actually has two different airlines using the President as their base to stay in so no doubt they get the best of the rooms...

...We book via AGODA It was a 1 bedroom apartment Few days before our check in we were told that our room booked do not have ocean view I went back to my reservation and check it says ocean view checked ✔️ So what went wrong ? On our way to the room there were no lift a porter assist us with our baggage Every time we leave our room we have to use the stairs it's causing inconvenience This hotel is not wheel chair friendly or baby pram friendly... When we enter the room it's spacious and clean...

Stayed at the President Hotel for 5 nights and the experience was okay, no wow factor but okay... Our room was not ready and when it was, hadn't been properly cleaned... On our last day, room service just budged into our room without any notice 🙆‍♀️ at 8:00am, we felt rushed to clear the room and check out...

The notice also stated that armbands were to be worn at all times (on a couple of days when collecting towels we had been handed paper bands to wear on our wrists, presumably as proof we were residents) and that glassware should not be used in the pool area...

...A good 4 star hotel the rooms are modern and clean, the breakfast is plentiful and generally the service is good. I found the staff 200% helpfully but the President is let down by poor restaurant service one evening we waited one hour and 25 minutes for food...

Overall it was annoying having to engage with reception and the salon was also ill managed and the staff were not helpful or willing to assist with an appointment...

Usually the first contact in a hotel upon checking in is the reception, the President Hotel staff manning the reception are simple awful, no smile, no welcome, slightly arrogant and they are not willing to assist you in any possible way...

You can also book Robben Island tour through the hotel which was very handy as they get booked up quickly... Breakfast was plentiful with fried eggs and omelettes cooked fresh in front of you... The only thing that let breakfast down was coffee was replenished very often if you managed to get it offer to you in the first place so we learnt to use the coffee machines first thing... All the staff at the hotel were lovely and when we had a fault with our safe someone came up immediately...

...Close to beach and 30 minutes walk to Clifton beach, staff were friendly. Nice good sized room, nice shower room, & nice comfortable big bed... Improvements could be made by better service at breakfast especially with offering coffee...

Lovely hotel and wonderful staff, booked a sea view room and to be fair there was a sea view although partly sea view would have been a more accurate statement. Booking in and checking out were very smoothly done and the staff could not be faulted as they were all so pleasant and made every day... The breakfast buffet was good and although crowded at times was still managed well, the toaster is a little on the slow side but it is after all a holiday so not really an issue... When out we had bottled water, no ice and no salad items as we did not trust the local water due to all the electricity issues likely impacting the water supply... The room service menu is very limited and the food not very good and the hotel restaurant for dinner is also not very good food so I would recommend popping out as there are some lovely places very nearby including a good food market very nearby... Overall the staff are the best thing about the hotel...

The food was amazing and the staff were all just so friendly and nice... Would I return to this hotel I most certainly would and I most certainly can recommend it...

The hotel is a hub for BA staff and therefore has a transient feel to it, as BA staff seem to rule the roost and take over the pool area, when it is not taken over by screaming children, who have hired it out for birthday parties...the pool area is not really useable on a weekend, when there seems to be one pool party after another... Breakfast at the hotel provides a variety of options and food in general is good...when and if you get it!... The position is excellent, being a couple of minutes from the beach, promenade, restaurants and a variety of shops...

The staff are a joy to be around, they greet you by your name, they are always happy to see you and will do what they can for you...

The room I was allocated was huge with a very nice little kitchen area which had a microwave and a fridge, this I did not expect... You had tea and coffee available as well as bottled water... The bathroom was large with a good shower over the bath and sufficient towels Although there was a BIG sofa in the room this was not fit for purpose and should have been put on the dump / skip... The Hotel actually has two different airlines using the President as their base to stay in so no doubt they get the best of the rooms... The staff on reception was very nice and friendly and helpful as were the staff for the restaurant where you had breakfast... What a wonderful spread was available every morning for breakfast there was everything you could imagine both hot and cold and lots of lovely fruit cut up and different juice to drink... There were pastries and muffins as well it was tremendous... Beautiful pool area and a nice seating area around it... The hop on hop off bus stop is just a stone throw away from the hotel... The food was amazing and the staff were all just so friendly and nice... Would I return to this hotel I most certainly would and I most certainly can recommend it...

...We had a very relaxing stay at The President Hotel in Bantry bay. The front of the hotel has a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and on the rear of the hotel one can view Lions Head... Breakfast buffet was quite a spread and they certainly catered for a variety of tastes... The hotel is a very short walk from the Promenade at the sea and a Red City Bus tour stop which was very convenient... We will most certainly recommend The President Hotel...

the president hotel offers great service as well as comfort and convenience... there is a spa and salon which makes life much more easier, however the hotel needs major upgrading and updating to suit the times, some things are still very old, as well as the tv's in the rooms are not the best... they do need to invest in a generator to combat the loadshedding issue and a better speed of wifi, once all these issues are resolved, i'll be then happy to rate the stay a 5/5 and better value for money...

...Views from the room and facilities cannot be faulted and after a long day in the city this hotel still remains a favorite overnight stop...

We booked this hotel for a recent week-long conference... All the facilities worked well and any changes needed to layout, seating, and printing needs happened almost instantly... There are lots of restaurants nearby and the food in the hotel, including the breakfast was very good... Concierge can take care of your tour, sightseeing, and transport needs... A really first class experience for the price... Easy to recommend and come back again...

Stayed at the President for a recent trip with friends and was blown away by the friendliness and professional staff. The food was better than expected for a hotel and apartments we stayed in were spacious, bright and roomy... We felt safe walking to nearby restaurants, shops and the sea front is literally minutes away... Highly recommend this hotel is you are visiting Cape Town...

We stayed for a couple of days and it fitted perfectly for what we needed to do as tourists. It was quiet, clean and the breakfast was OK. We had the mountain rather than the sea view, but that didn't really matter as we were out most of the time... We booked the Hop-on, hop-off bus at the travel desk... The bus stops just outside the hotel and takes you to the V&A, the cable car station and the wine areas...

...Hotel was an excellent overall value, pleasantly located a quiet block from the ocean and only a short walk from local laundry, grocery and restaurant services. The hotel restaurant had a varied delicious menu which was well- priced with a good wine selection... Taxi or Uber transport to the tourist waterfront was convenient and economical...

This hotel continues to provide great service, spectacular location and value for money unparalleled in the Sea Point/ Bantry Bay area. Staff were very attentive and really good with kids... Playground/ jumping castle was a hit with kids in the group... Rooms were tidy, had fantastic views and were very comfortable...
