Signal company deploys in support of U.S. Central Command
About 30 members of the 1137th Signal Company (Tactical Installation and Networking-Enhanced, or TIN-E), located in Springfield, Ohio, are honored during the unit's call to duty ceremony at the First Christian Church in Springfield, Jan. 12, 2024. While deployed, the Soldiers will provide installation, recovery, repair and maintenance of telecommunications network lines and infrastructure throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.

Ohio Army National Guard member also serving as Ohio royalty
Spc. Rebekah Hardacre, a plumber in the Ohio Army National Guard’s 945th Engineer Company, is the 2023 Ohio Fairs’ Queen, representing and promoting state, county and independent agricultural fairs throughout the year. Thought to be the first Guard member to be Ohio Fairs’ Queen, Hardacre is utilizing the education benefits earned through her military service to complete her degree in pre-veterinary medicine at the University of Findlay.

Meet Pfc. Max Walls: Ohio National Guard Soldier of the Year
Pfc. Max Walls, of the 324th Military Police Company, is the reigning Ohio National Guard Soldier of the Year. Continuously seeking self-improvement as a Soldier, Walls graduated from Army Air Assault School just a few days prior to taking part in the Region IV Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition at Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Center in Newton Falls, Ohio in May 2023.

Stone takes charge of Special Troops Command (Provisional)

Ohio ARNG breaks ground on new Columbus readiness center
A groundbreaking ceremony marks the official start for construction of the Maj. Gen. Robert W. Teater Readiness Center at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base in Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 6, 2023. The facility, which will house the headquarters for the Ohio Army National Guard’s 73rd Troop Command and 437th Military Police Battalion, is expected to be completed in early 2025.

Command Sergeant Major William A. Workley
Serves as the principal enlisted advisor to the Assistant Adjutant General for Army. He observes training and all matters concerning the enlisted members of the Ohio Army National Guard and their Families.
The Army National Guard provides infantry, armor, artillery, engineering, transportation, water purification, air defense, cyber, logistics, administrative, medical support and command personnel who have the training and equipment to perform its federal warfighting mission, as well as its state mission to support local authorities during domestic emergencies. The state’s 120 Army Guard units occupy 42 training sites/areas and readiness centers throughout 36 Ohio counties.
