Instead of a pet, add Thrall reskins to Perilous Moons (and Barrows!) Instead of a pet, add Thrall reskins to Perilous Moons (and Barrows!)
Suggestion

Since the release of Perilous Moons some sort of pet has been frequently requested by players, due to how great the bosses look. I think a better solution would be to add a rare drop to both Perilous Moons and Barrows that when used, allows the player to alter the appearance of their Thralls.

Since both pieces of content concern some sort of angry spirit(s), I think both the Barrows and PM work thematically with the necromancy theme of the Arceuus book, and would provide a breath of fresh air for those that are bored to death of the standard thralls

My wife told me that she wanted to go out to dinner and it took 4 hours for us to get back home. AITA for asking her to reimburse the osrs membership time I missed out on? Also Jagex please, give us a heads up for the next maintenence so I can plan to squeeze in another date, a shower and some sleep (in that order) Thanks!

The newly proposed PNM rates are *still* worse than Solo CoX on average. The newly proposed PNM rates are *still* worse than Solo CoX on average.

New PNM rates has it at 18 hours to see a drop (on average!!!), which is still INSANE for a single boss. Assuming you're doing 25 minute solos at 30k points per, it's, on average, 12.5 hours to see a drop (1/30). The new proposal is STILL rarer than solo Cox. That's just not okay! A single boss should not have drop rates anywhere similar to a raid, especially the raid with the lowest purple chance!

The title isn't exactly accurate, because you might get somewhere around 19/20 minute averages in max gear, but 25 minutes is a fair baseline for a: people without shadows and b: people without an alt to scout while you do the other raid. But even then, PNM would then be about even with solo cox, which is still not okay.

Sorry to be a constant meme about this, but the rates of unique items at PNM are still prohibitively rare for most real players. For mains there are significantly more consistent moneymakers available, and for irons there are upgrades available in signifantly less time at other bosses (with better resources on the drop tables). Rates should be balanced to reflect where the items fit among others in their tier, especially as many of them are severely outclassed. And I'm not asking for a buff to any of the items.
Here, again, are the numbers of live game, proposal, and 300% buff compared to other relevant items:Harm orb (Live Game) = 454 h
Harm orb (Current Proposal) = 246 h
Harm orb (300% Buff) = 152 h
Shardow at TOA = 115 - 185 h

Specific Inquisitor Piece (Live Game) = 154 h
Specific Inquisitor Piece (Current Proposal) = 108 h
Specific Inquisitor Piece (300% Buff) = 52 h
Specific Nex Piece (Nex duos 6 kc/h) = 83 h
Specific Bandos Piece (27 kc/h solo) = 14 h

Inquisitor's Mace (Live Game) = 303.3 h
Inquisitor's Mace (Current Proposal) = 192.3 h
Inquisitor's Mace (300% Buff) = 101.1 h
Enhanced Crystal Weap Seed (6.5 kc/h) = 55 h
Rapier from TOB (4 mans, 3 kc/h)= 115 h

A 300% buff also means players will see uniques every 8.6 hours, (that's a WHOLE WORKDAY OF NOTHING BUT PNM), instead of the current 25.6 h or the currently proposed 18 h. People like getting drops!! That's a HUGE part of why people enjoy PVM. Yes, I know I could "just get it in 1 second on the GE", but doing other content for better gp/h and leaving bots to farm dead content is the exact opposite of a balanced game. Add whatever requirements to prevent (or slow down) bots, but please actually fix PNM the first time. The current proposal still leaves it as dead content.

Sincerely, "A wholly unrestricted player [who says] that they love the encounter design of Phosani's Nightmare but they don't tend to engage with it because the time required to see anything worthwhile would be better spent elsewhere."

The Removal of Kebbit Swapping From Hunters’ Rumours is Entirely Warranted The Removal of Kebbit Swapping From Hunters’ Rumours is Entirely Warranted
Varla-MORE!

I think this section of the update has very well become the hot-point of discussion for today. For those who don’t know, up until today’s update there was a method people were using to avoid doing the Sabre-toothed and Razorbacked Kebbit tasks when assigned them from the Expert Hunters. This paved-way to the absurd XP rates people were managing to achieve by running only Expert Rumours with an optimized blocklist.

I know a lot of people are upset about this change, but I really do not understand why. First off, I want someone to try and explain to me their reasoning for why they believe that Jagex intended Expert Rumours to give better loot and XP/Hr than Master Rumours. Secondly, anyone who has engaged with Rumours knows how long the deadfall and tracking Kebbit tasks take. I agree that their length to completion is pretty heavily imbalanced to other tasks such as Dashing Kebbits or Pitfall trapping, but subverting the activity by juggling tasks back and forth was a blatant oversight.

So many people on here complain about the amount of “dead content,” yet when Jagex makes an activity revives that content, people complain about having to do it. Arguing for Kebbit swapping is arguing that items like the Ring of Pursuit should just remain useless (can’t be used at Herbiboar anyways). That notion isn’t good game design whatsoever. Some of you expect Jagex to fix every bug that’s detrimental to the game immediately as soon as physically possible, but whine and complain when Jagex fixes a bug a month later because it was “beneficial to you.”

Hunters’ Rumours is one of my favorite updates in the last 5 years. It’s an extremely engaging way to train the skill, that gives more reason for what you’re doing. I did 100 expert rumours within a few days of release, then decided to grind out Herbiboar to 91 so I could switch to Masters. Ever since then, it’s been even more fun and engaging, and its content I think I will continually come back to whenever I want to switch up my grinds.

The Nightmare changes should include transportation improvements. The Nightmare changes should include transportation improvements.
Suggestion

People are arguing about whether the drop rate buff is good enough, but even with a comparable grind, this boss would be very frustrating. Every death up to your Slepey tablet is such a long haul to get back and Nightmare is not exactly shy about dealing massive damage if you make a mistake.

This boss was allegedly inspired by GWD and Corporeal Beast. Corporeal Beast literally lets you teleport straight to it and Ghommal's hilt puts you right outside the skill check for GWD.

Some possible suggestions:

  • Give us a more accessible Slepe teleport and make the Slepey tablet unlock a teleport to somewhere in the sanctum

  • Make Nightmare drop teleports like Zulrah

  • Make dying to the Nightmare cause us to "wake up" from the dream somewhere in the Sanctum instead, so we can try again with the supplies we still have with us when learning

  • Add combat achievement perks to get to Nightmare quicker
