Basic plot: Robert Baldwin has been called to testify against an old friend and must decide what he will say.

This was a powerful piece, probably all the more so because of how short it was. It was originally written in 1916, and yet it didn't feel as if it were 100 years old. The situation of the play is something that resonates in today's culture of self-preservation and asks the same questions that have been asked since the beginning of the concept of right. Is honor dead? What are the consequences of compromising one's values? Is there a crime if no one is hurt? While there are some small differences in word choice today, the concepts still ring very true.

This was an excellent one-act play that I highly recommend to any audience.
