Bridgerton season 2 cast: Every new actor and actress introduced in season 2

The day has finally come. Bridgerton season 2 has dropped on Netflix and it’s what everyone is currently watching. Fans of the period drama series have once again entered into the world of Regency London’s high-class society. In this social season, eligible bachelor Anthony Bridgerton intends to find a wife.

Season 1 focused on Daphne Bridgerton and her love story with the Duke of Hastings. We were introduced to many characters who we also see appear in Bridgerton season 2. But now that the story has shifted to another Bridgerton family member, several new characters were introduced this season.

Bridgerton season 2 new cast members

Since the story mainly focuses on Viscount Anthony Bridgerton and his love story, we obviously meet a new debutante who catches his attention. However, this debutante comes with an overprotective older sister and a scandalous mother. Then, there are subplots featuring other Bridgerton family members and the Featheringtons. These subplots also include new cast members. We advise you to click off this article if you haven’t watched Bridgerton season 2 in its entirety yet because there are spoilers ahead.

Simone Ashley

Simone Ashley plays the quick-witted, headstrong Kate Sharma in the new season. Kate Sharma is the older half-sister to Edwina Sharma. She spends the social season trying to find a suitable match for her sister but ends up finding love in the process. Kate is the main love interest for Anthony Bridgerton. You might know Simone Ashley as Olivia in the Netflix original series, Sex Education.

Charithra Chandran

Charithra portrays Edwina Sharma, the kind-hearted young debutante. She’s also the younger sister of Kate Sharma. Anthony Bridgerton first sets his sights on Edwina but becomes conflicted when he starts to have feelings for her older sister. This causes a love triangle to form between Edwina, Kate, and Anthony. Charithra Chandran is a newcomer to the entertainment industry, but she appeared in a show called Alex Rider and is set to star in another show titled Pillow Talk.

Shelley Conn

Shelley Conn plays Mary Sharma, Kate and Edwina’s mother. Lady Mary comes from the upper class, with her father being an earl. However, she was cast out from the London scene after her marriage to a man of lower class (Kate’s father). Many years later, she returns to London as a widow with her two daughters. You might recognize Shelley Conn from shows like Terra Nova and Liar.

Rupert Young

Rupert portrays Jack, the new Lord Featherington. Jack takes over the Featherington household after the late Lord Featherington is murdered. He is a cousin of the late Lord Featherington. Initially, Jack comes across as a kind man, but viewers quickly learn that there’s more to him than meets the eye. He’s involved in some illegal activities, just like his cousin. I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Rupert has had roles in the fantasy series Merlin and the comedy-drama series Shameless.

Calam Lynch

Calam plays Theo Sharpe, a printer’s assistant who spends his time fighting for the rights of all. We’re introduced to him through Eloise Bridgerton. They build a friendship that slowly forms into something romantic. We also see Theo helping Eloise try to track down Lady Whistledown. Calam is best known for his roles in Dunkirk and Benediction.

Rupert Evans

Rupert Evans portrays Edmund Bridgerton, the late Bridgerton patriarch. In season 2, we’re introduced to him through flashbacks. We find out how he passed away, which caused Anthony to take over his role as Viscount at just 18 years old. You might recognize Rupert from his role as Frank Frink in The Man in the High Castle and Harry Greenwood in The CW’s Charmed.
