My axle is 3500 lb. I can not find any 26" 1750 lb springs. Will 1500 lb springs work?

You can use a set of 1,500 lb trailer springs with a 3,500 lb axle but if you routinely load the trailer to 3,500 lbs you may consider moving to a heavier 2,000 lb spring such as the MTS-051 to avoid overloading the suspension.

my old springs measure little more than 26.25 from eye to eye, will these fit

Yes, trailer spring MTS-050 will work if you have 26.25 springs. Older trailer springs will lose arch over time as the steel fatigues making the eye to eye longer than when they were new. The 26.00 long trailer springs should work just fine replacing an older 26.25 spring.
