In this wacky au, the dark Crystal's original lighter hearted plot is switched into a darker, action filled storyline starting with the Skeksis attempting to withdraw more life force from the Crystal by ritual one morning but they fail, much to their confusion. Furthering their confusion, through the Crystal they were able to communicate with other beings not of Thra without there being any Sun's conjunction, and even stranger - an Urskek appears. The Urskeks gift the Skeksis with supernatural abilities with the use of their own mysterious Crystal of truth and tasks them with eradicating Thra's population before the next great conjunction as they promise that the consequence will be immortality for their Skeksis brothers. In their desperation, the Skeksis agreed, believing that the gelfling and the other creatures of Thra would be easy to kill off, but the Urskeks warn them that Thra's Crystal of truth has the same ability of also blessing creatures with Crystal power - making the future possess a lot more paths to go down than they thought.

SkekSil let out a wicked grin, his mouth curling upward in a cruel, sadistic smile, "Letting traitor Rian die is a mercy, yes? And guard still suspicious of Skeksis. Skeksis should give justice. Show gelfling Skeksis are innocent!"
SkekZok gave a small grunt, "And how do we do that?"
SkekSil laughed at their insolence, "Give traitor Rian trial. Let gelfling turn on him once and for all. Skeksis shall reign supreme!!!"

Might be a one shot, might update later we'll see....the concept is basically the story of The Good Place with a twist, it takes place during the with the gelfling who died during the show. I want to clarify I will not be copying and pasting The Good Place word for word "just with aor characters" there will be major differences with roughly the same story beats, some more emphasized than others. One last thing before we get to characters, some of the things in this fan fic will not adhere to official dc lore this is just for fun so some characters may act differently than they would in the tv show or books, hope you enjoy!! Here are the character roles so far: Ordon/Eleanor Mayrin/Tahani Tolyn/Chidi Gurjin/Jason and a couple changes to Michael/Janet to shake things up a bit!
