Brad Newsome Sydney Morning Herald Director James De Frond, whose previous collaborations with Davis include the spy-thriller spoof Action Team, has a fine command of heist-movie conventions and gives the series a solid visual bedrock underpinned by Marli Wren’s nimble, genre-savvy score. Rated: 4/4 Aug 11, 2022 Full Review Chris Bennion Daily Telegraph (UK) The Curse is an old riff, being played lovingly and skilfully, over a record you’ve heard many times before. Rated: 3/5 Feb 12, 2022 Full Review Jack Seale Guardian Davis and De Frond seem primed to move on to movies before too long – with The Curse, they continue to make fabulous TV comedy look easy. Ravenswood R Not funny. Gave up with a few minutes left in episode 4. Just not worth the time. Slogging, boring, plot is not interesting. Dumb show. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review Pete H Both series are hilarious! The characters make this! Mick is just so funny! The writing of this is spot on. Well worth a watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/24 Full Review J E Entertaining, fast paced and funny. Love the guys from People Just Do Nothing and they're great in this. Tom Davis is hilarious. Really enjoyed it! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/29/23 Full Review Steven S Did I miss something? Episodes appear to be mischaracterized in the summaries and all of episode 6 seems like nothing more than clips from the earlier episodes. No exposition, no resolution of the story, nothing. Was this an error by the streaming service or is this for real? Admittedly, the jokes were wearing thin by episode 5, and the narrator who seemed to be making clever commentary was slowly disappearing. So what gives? If this is the whole thing, then a fairly strong start, and a total train wreck by the end. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/23/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
