Do they have vegan options?
A:
Absolutely, tons of them. I had the garlic and pepper edamame, stir fried vegetables, vegetable fried rice and braised tofu. All vegan.

My favorite go to for Chinese food! Reasonable pricing n quick. I usually get it to go. Love everything I have tried so far. Really love how they cook the beef dish. Very tender. My favorite dishes r probably beef broccoli and shrimp fried rice. The owners r very nice people too. Chatted w them a couple of times.

I was in the area and came here for lunch craving Chinese food. This was my first time.
I ordered the beef chow fun wet style $17 and the orange chicken lunch special $10.
The flavor of the chow fun was good. It wasn't very wet as you can tell it wasn't saucy. The beef tasted good and was not chewy, instead very tender. My critique for this dish is that some of the green onions used were older so they were dry and you couldn't chew them. I wouldn't say it's worth the price.
The portion size for the orange chicken lunch special was great. The chicken was nice and crispy and the orange chicken sauce wasn't too sweet. The rice was done well and the eggroll was alright.
I did not take this order to go, but wasn't met with any service either besides serving the dishes and I paid and tipped upfront. I didn't get water the time I was there. They may have been understaffed as the lady in the front kept going to the back. When I asked for my to go boxes, I also asked for water. While I was drinking it, I noticed that there was food in the cup. There were two pieces of green onion, and something else that was the size of my pinky nail. It definitely wasn't small and it definitely grossed me out.
When I let the lady know, she laughed and asked if I wanted another one.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place and or come back after experiencing the service and cleanliness.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Russ S.San Diego, CA5623324Jan 7, 2024
We used to really like this place, but over the past several months, the portions have gotten smaller, the food less taste and the cost has significantly gone up. They are always very quick to deliver, but for two of us to order a meal from them, the cost is well over $65 just for two people ordering two meals. We recently ordered from them and the portions were cut in half at the same price point!!! What has happened???
Needless to say, we have stopped ordering from them since the cost just isn't worth what you get. You also shouldn't have to salt this kind of food, but it has become terribly bland.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nancy M.San Diego, CA0313May 10, 2024
Corner Cafe satisfies the itch for Chinese food. There really are no Chinese restaurants remaining near Uptown. Hong Kong...not so much. Corner Cafe is nearby so we've given it a try a couple times. Better the most recent. Ordered Szechwan Beef. Lots of sautéed onions a medium amount of beef. Good enough.

The family is super nice! Quick bites and exactly what you would expect. My favorites are cheese wonton, garlic pepper wings, combo chow mein, pepper filet, and honey walnut shrimp! Quality has always been consistent for me. I guess you could dine in here but there's not much going on inside. I always take it to go as do most. Love them though!

Oh man... I'm disappointed... I ordered sweet and sour chicken.
The chicken was super tender which unfortunately the only con I can list...
I missed the contrast between the sweet and the sour. The food was pretty bland. No distinguish of flavors. The rice was missing salt. Hopefully tomorrow after sitting in the fridge the flavors will be stronger? I was not able to finish... I'm really bummed... :(Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sheri L.San Diego, CA32762164Jan 13, 2023
Okay yall, we finally found it... THE best Chinese in San Diego! Atleast from what I've tried... and I've tried ALOT.
This place was super fresh, good quality meats, and super tasty sauces. And you know it says a lot when it was that good and I got it delivered via Uber eats! It was still steaming when I opened the containers!
The only thing I will say that isn't super awesome about this place is that they were a little stingy on the walnut shrimp portion size. But I get it.. it's shrimp!
Anyways, each dish comes with white rice. It wasn't mentioned on the app so I decided to call and ask if I could add a side and the guy was soooo sweet on the phone. He said don't worry about it, and that it comes with white rice automatically! He also included the extra sweet n sour sauce I asked for.
Really enjoyed this food & can't wait to try the dine in experience!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 1447403579May 18, 2022
Ordered take out here, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the beef chow fun.
Simple. Easy. Quick.
Beef chow fun isn't hard to make, and unfortunately, a ton of restaurants get it wrong. Corner Cafe, however, has managed to keep it simple and delicious.
I've only ordered here once, but the experience was good enough to land Corner Cafe on my rotation list for Chinese takeout. I look forward to trying other dishes, including their fried chicken next time.
Thank you, Corner Cafe, for a delicious snack during these times!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Annie D.San Diego, CA027Jan 21, 2024
It has been several years since I first tried this restaurant, the portions are definitely smaller which isn't terrible because when they first opened everything was big enough for a family. This time ordering I tried the Orange Chicken, it was fine too much breading but good taste.

Ordered delivery from here on Grubhub and was super disappointed - the fried rice was overly salty (said my mother who salts McDonald's fries) and had a piece of undercooked pork/chicken in it; the chicken teriyaki was just soy sauce and onions, and the sweet and sour chicken was a deep red that looked like the bbq sauce and had no flavor.
The white rice was good though so maybe they're Chinese items are better but for close to $60 before fees for 3 items, we won't be trying it again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
