Top quality modern art museum that is a nice size, not too big so you can easily see everything in an hour or two. The rooms are well organised and house a fantastic variety of unique and thought provoking modern art, with very helpful descriptions that add background and context to each piece. Reserve ahead on their website in advance to get access to the mirrored lights ‘infinity room’ which is definitely worth it

At the time of writing the Keith Haring exhibition is on and if you are a fan you have to see this. The exhibition was extensive and to see these pieces first hand is just amazing. The Broad is free but you do have to pay for this special exhibition and it is worth it. The rest of the gallery is just amazing with rooms full of artwork by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, and Jeff Koons just to name a few. There is a piece by Yayoi Kusama’s - Infinity Mirror which you need advanced free tickets for. We luckily were able to see it without one, but our Aussie accent may have helped us. Do walk down the stairs and look through the window of stored artwork not on display. If you like modern art, you need to come to The Broad I am so happy we decided to go.

My adult son and I had a wonderful visit here! The infinity room is so much fun (although I wish you got more than 60 seconds inside). There is also a smaller infinity experience upstairs that we liked too. So cool to see the giant Koons dog and the smaller rabbit. We were surprised at how much we liked the gigantic table and chairs. Loved seeing famous artists such as Jasper Johns, Warhol, Haring, and others. And the building itself is interesting. How great the museum is free - although the parking was very expensive - $27 for 5.5 hours. ouch.

We had less than a five minute wait with the advance tickets. Once inside, the wait for the “Infinity Room” was longer (perhaps 20 minutes). You get one minute by yourself in the room and be careful not to go beyond the small space provided or you could trip. One small room was dedicated to Jean-Michel Basquait which was nice. There were other important contemporary artists like (the overrated) Andy Warhol, Cy Twonbly and Takashi Murakami. Of course, they also had a special exhibit for Keith Haring. The layout is well designed with plenty of space to avoid overcrowding. The museum also manages the number of visitors very well allowing for a pleasant experience. What enriched our trip and elevated our understanding of the artists, particularly Basquait, was one of the museum's experts, Anja, who was available to answer questions and graciously shared her knowledge of the artists’ background, influences and technique. She really made our visit special as if we had a personal tour of the museum.

LA native here. This is one of the best museums in LA. The collection is incredible, inclusive, and enjoyable for all ages. From modern art masters to contemporary ‘what the…’ artists, this museum brings it all together in a palatable and enjoyable way for everyone. When you go up the escalator, look directly up. When you’re in the galleries, look directly out to the street. The architecture itself is art and meant to transport you. I go here bi-monthly. There’s a gorgeous parklet outside for sitting and enjoying the architecture. Plus food trucks are usually there for snacks.

Loved the Keith Haring exhibit. The permanent collection has such huge pieces on display that the floors are filled up quickly. As with a lot of contemporary art, it's pretty simplistic so doesn't invite long introspection in front of the item. You can actually breeze through the museum rather quickly.

I love this type of museum—lots of interesting pieces to see without having to spend hours and hours wandering around an enormous museum. The Broad is essentially one floor. We spent about 1-1/2 hours. There is a nice gift shop on the ground floor. There is a parking garage underneath and the museum validates your parking which results in a small discount, but our fee for 3.5 hours, after validation was $27. Ouch! Don’t go above the three hour/$17 limit or take public transportation to the museum.

We had a wonderful weekday visit to the Broad. I was delighted to see some of my favorite artists’ work, like George Condo and Yayoi Kusama. There is ample parking and plenty of space inside to walk around. There could be more artists represented in the gift shop, but that wasn’t a huge deal. The staff was courteous. Even though we had lunch afterward someplace else, it was nice that there were food trucks right outside.

The Broad, in downtown Los Angeles is an excellent museum of modern art, with a substantial permanent collection, including some important pieces, as rotating exhibits. It includes some important works by, among others, Lichtenstein and Elanatsui. The museum itself is well laid out and has interesting architecture, making it well worth a visit. Moreover, it is fee, unusual for museums in the US, where museums are almost never free and often quite expensive. One must book entry online but this is very simple and, unless it is very busy, can be done right before entering.

This museum has very nice architecture and interesting pieces. A place to visit if you love art and/or when you've seen most of the tourist attractions in LA. Also, if you visit The Broad, don't miss MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) that is across the street. A good option for rainy days!
