Beautiful lake park. We stayed on TaylorMade Properties, very nice house (Strawberry Filed)spacious and clean, beautifully lake views. The visit was for R&R no fishing, hiking or skiing. Would visit again when weather is warmer. One note the grounds around the house wasn’t shoveled and no salt put down for the ice witch made it unsafe at check in.

Public park on lake with boat ramp, picnic area, and camping. Swim area with rental water toys. Lodging nearby. Seem to be fees weekends in summer for entry. Playground areas for kids. Walking paths. Wildlife including bears. Be aware of surroundings.

Whether you are camping there or just going for a walk, DCL State Park can't be beat!
We started camping there in the 70's before we built a house by "The Lake" and retired there for ten years (06-16). Great beach, campground has reasonable privacy and distance between sites along with well maintained bathhouses, some good hiking trails, and a well planned "Discovery Center" all add to this park. There is even an aviary with injured birds of prey that can't be released back into the wild. If you need some chill time, this is the place to do it!!!

We have camped at the state park for many years. Nice camp sites and woods and trails. Access to the State Park beach as well as Discovery Center. Kayaking rentals and stand up paddle board rentals and boat launch facilities. Camp fire wood and ice is also sold at check in center. Bath houses are clean and modern with electrical outlets for hair dyers. Access to water to clean dishes at various sites thru out the camp grounds. Some camp sites have electric hookups for RV's. No other place in Maryland I would rather camp. Lots of other places to visit locally. Going again this summer.

We were in a 2 story 3 bedroom 2 bath house right on the lake, a TaylorMade Property. We were only minutes from everywhere. Location was great, rental was clean and well maintained. Kitchen was also very well stocked. Loved the fireplace and skylights in the living room . A magnificent stay. Looking forward to another stay.
