Bet Dodgers to Draw First Blood in Arizona Series

National League West teams will clash for the first time this season when the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks start a three-game series on Monday. Both teams have gotten off to different starts this season, with the Dodgers hot at the top of the division while Arizona has struggled a bit more down in fourth. Los Angeles won its last two series, and it’ll look to continue its road trip strong, as MLB odds have it favored to begin the series with a win.

Tommy Henry Faces Uphill Battle vs Dodgers’ James Paxton

When the Dodgers and Diamondbacks take the field Monday night, LA should have the upper hand on the mound between James Paxton and Tommy Henry.

Paxton has gotten out to a nice start for the Dodgers, going 2-0 with a 2.61 ERA and 1.55 WHIP. Things haven’t gone the same for Henry, going 1-1 in five starts, recording a 5.55 ERA and 1.60 WHIP.

Henry has also struggled the most in his home starts, picking up his loss at Chase Field and recording a 10.80 ERA. In 8⅓ innings pitched at home, Henry has given up 10 earned runs and 15 hits, striking out seven to allow a .405 opponent batting average. Henry will have to start playing much better before bettors can trust him on the mound.

Betts & Ohtani Lead League’s Most-Feared Offense

LA’s offense is second in the MLB with a .274 batting average and first with 154 RBIs, with a .316 batting average and 5.7 runs a game in their last six road games.

Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani have been leading the way, with Betts hitting a .387 batting average and leading with 23 RBIs while Ohtani has followed with a .336 batting average while leading LA with seven homers.

Take Dodgers to Win Game 1 Against D-Backs

The Dodgers’ offense has been one of the best to start the season, and despite the road trip, they have been performing well away from home. LA should continue that trend against Arizona’s Henry, who has not been trustworthy on the mound at home. On the other side, Paxton has been solid for the Dodgers, and he should get another worthy start with the D-Backs offense scoring just one run in three of their last five games.
