Daphn T My first time rating a movie because I had to let someone know how much I hated it. First of, the esthetic is awful. The color grading of this "movie", if I can even call it that, is terrible. Pause at any given time, and it won't look like a scene from a movie, but rather a scene from an ad for Mr. Clean or something. To add insult to injury... the costumes?? Character design??? Has the artistic director ever stepped outside?? Wth is this.. Why is the main character wearing a full face of makeup every night, in the middle of the night? And her hair is also done in every single scene. I'm not kidding, she has a nightmare and wakes up in the middle of the night, with fresh makeup and freshly done hair. Also why is she wearing heels inside her house? For no reason? She's working from home making clothes, with makeup, hair done, and fucking high heels.. Whoever wrote the characters also needs to be jailed bc EVERY single one of their moves is predictable. It's like they asked chatgpt "hey, write a character who's kinda like this, kinda like that, make it super stereotypical and also, add ZERO character development!" and just copy pasted it. The plot is as empty as can be, nothing interesting, nothing new.. The same "scary stuff" you see in every horror movie but not even done properly. Watch 20min of this movie and you have enough info to know exactly how it'll end bc of how predictable everything and everyone is. Overall, ruined my night, would give 0 star if I could but the minimum is 0.5 so I'll stick to that. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review Kyle M Thin plot enabled predictability, but doesn't lessen the alarming chills nor the likable leads' charismatic chemistry (B-) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/25/23 Full Review David B This movie struggles to define what it sets out to be, and the mess of unnecessary plot lines only adds to the confusion. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/24/23 Full Review Nammeio V Some nice vibes and even a small jump scare during the first half of the movie. Unfortunately, the plot does not make any sense and it ruins the whole movie. Why should a murderer remain in the house where he killed two people? For what? And to do what? Also, why does he look like a bad version of Gollum? Ridiculous movie. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/21/23 Full Review Greg M Congratulations to the writers here. They have somehow managed to make something even more preposterous than yet another ghost story... and that's not a compliment. I'd skip this one if I were you. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/21/23 Full Review Mari C This movie was ok although it wasn't all scary like they say. Semi scary I will call it. Roger Moore Movie Nation An untidy, unfocused and unsatisfying thriller that won't gild anybody's resume. Rated: 1.5/4 Sep 4, 2021 Full Review Lee McCoy DrumDums Parts paranormal, home invasion, family drama. Whatever Aftermath is trying to be, it's bland. In every way. With a couple leaving a stained past behind to enter an even more troubled future, there's character stupidity at every turn. Rated: 4/10 Aug 12, 2021 Full Review JK Sooja Common Sense Media This horror movie comes close to being decent, but sadly is too long, too unsurprising, and too unrealistic.
