Nice! How long did you spend in sukhothai? How did you get there, where did you go after?

Yes Sukhothai is quite nice, definitely worth a couple of nights to explore the parks. We always stay in Mueang Kao, the small village by the historical park. There is a wide range of hotels from budget to fairly fancy, plenty of good food.

You can get there via bus, about 5 hours on Wintour from Chiang Mai (they drop in both Mueang Kao and downtown new Sukhothai). In normal times you could fly from Sukhothai to Bangkok, then continue on to Krabi. Or catch the bus back to CM and do your Krabi flight from there. Or rent a car and drive, it is pleasant drive through the mountains from CM.

I have spent a couple of nights in Sukothai and enjoyed wondering around the ancient site. I took the train to Phitsanlaouk from Bangkok and then a bus to Sukothai.
