Former Impact Knockouts and current AAA Reina de Reinas champion Taya Valkyrie has reportedly signed with WWE, per PWInsider. The site reports she’s expected to be announced along with the next Performance Center class and will start with NXT shortly thereafter.

Valkyrie was written off Impact last month when she was revealed as the culprit in their “Who shot John E. Bravo?” angle. Rumors popped up about interest from WWE and AEW. There’s been talk she could follow husband John Morrison to WWE since early last year, and it appears it’s finally happened.

A former dancer who transitioned to fitness competitions and modeling, Taya trained for her wrestling career with Lance Storm. She primarily worked in Mexico for AAA before making a splash on the U.S. scene with Lucha Underground. She joined Impact in 2017 and holds the record for the longest Knockouts title reign in the company’s history at 377 days.

Triple H recently said the next PC class will include their largest ever group of women signees; Valkryie and the Booker T-trained AQA are the only two names who’ve specifically been reported.

Thoughts on Taya joining the NXT Women’s roster?
