Got questions about Target Registry?

Can I register at Target?

The answer is yes! You can create a Target registry online or in-store. Once you’ve made your Target gift registry, you can then link it to The Knot Registry to make it easier for your friends and family to find.

To create your Target gift registry online, start by making an account on The Knot. Next, select Target from the list of more than 20 retailers available—you’ll then be redirected to Target’s site, where you can log in to an existing account or click “Create Registry” to make a new one. Once you’re signed in, you’ll want to enter all of your wedding day details, including your wedding date, location, you and your partner’s names and a shipping address for gifts. Then it’s just a matter of adding your favorite products to your bridal registry (the fun part!). The Knot will auto-sync your Target registry with your wedding website to make it super easy to share with guests throughout your wedding planning process.

You can also set up a Target registry through the Target Registry app on your phone. Download the Target Registry app from the app store (FYI, this is separate from Target’s standard shopping app) and follow the prompts to set up your registry. You can add items to your registry directly from the app, or use your phone as a scanner in-store to select items. The app also includes a very handy checklist, so you don’t forget any Target registry must-haves, as well as a “trending” section of recommended gifts other users are loving.

If you prefer an in-person shopping experience, head to your local Target store and create your wishlist at the registry kiosks by customer service (a sales assistant can help you as needed, too). You can then access, track and add to your registry online via The Knot, Target’s website, or the Target Registry app.

Once your registry has been created, be sure to set it to “public.” The Knot Registry will automatically pull your Target registry into your account, but keep in mind it can take up to 24 hours to appear on The Knot Registry.

Why should I create a Target Registry through The Knot?

The Knot Registry works behind the scenes to make sure your Target wedding registry (and any other store registries) are synced to your Knot wedding website. Anytime you add something to your Target registry, it will populate onto The Knot Registry as well, where your shower and wedding guests can shop for everything you’re looking for, from Target must-haves to unique experience-related gifts like fun honeymoon adventures and date night ideas.

Beyond making shopping crazy-easy for you and your guests, a Target wedding registry offers up a few other perks, too. To start? You can forget about receipt stress, because they allow you to return (or exchange!) registry items without a receipt for up a year. Plus, you can score a 15% discount on everything left on your registry post-wedding, meaning you can splurge on a few of the gifts that your guests didn’t up buying for yourselves.

How often will my Target Registry be updated on The Knot?

Anytime you update your Target bridal registry online or in-store, The Knot will automatically sync the changes to your account on the same day. Additionally, products that are no longer available or only available in-stores will not be displayed on The Knot Registry, making guest shopping straight-forward and easy.

How do I share my Target Registry with guests?

It’s super simple to share your Target registry with guests. To do so, create a wedding website on The Knot—your registry will appear on the site you create. Then, head to your registry settings and click “Copy Link”. This automatically copies the URL for your registry, which you can then paste onto your save the dates and wedding invitations. Simple as that!

How do I find a Target Registry?

You can find a couple’s wedding registry on Target’s website, in-store at a registry kiosk, or by using The Knot couple search. On Target’s website, click “Registries & Lists” and then enter the first and last name of the bride or groom when prompted, and click “wedding” as the category. On The Knot, click “find” and then enter the first and last name of a bride or groom, as well as the wedding month and year. From there, you’ll be able to see the couple’s Target registry, as well as any other retailers they’ve registered with, plus cash funds and experiences they’ve wishlisted through The Knot.
