What is Target?

Target is a big-box retailer known for its affordability and wide selection of products. The store boasts everyday low prices, but it also offers weekly deals, clearance prices and other in-store markdowns. Customers who hold a RedCard credit or debit card can save an extra 5% on their purchases. RedCard holders also get exclusive offers and deals to save even more.

Target makes customer experience a top priority. Stores have spacious and uncluttered aisles for both customer comfort and ease of access. Employees frequently perform zone sweeps to ensure shelving is neat and properly stocked.

What does Target do?

Target offers customers a variety of mid- to high-quality products at affordable prices. Customers can find many reliable brands at Target, including Dyson, KitchenAid, Apple and many more trusted names. The company also has its own brands in nearly every category. These brands include Market Pantry, Archer Farms, Threshold, Boots & Barkley, Up & Up and Xhilaration.

With such a variety of brands, Target provides customers with options to fit almost any budget for nearly any purchase. Whether you’re decorating a dorm room, investing in long-term needs for your home, refreshing your wardrobe, prepping for a party or looking to fill your pantry, you can find most everything you need with one trip to Target.

Target prices

The amount of money you spend at Target will greatly depend on the type of purchase you’re making. The grab-and-go area of Bullseye’s Playground at store entrances presents you with neat finds for just a couple of dollars. You can find clothing staples for as little as $5, or build a full outfit for less than $100.

Target carries several brands, so there is something for every budget. For example, if Threshold home decor is out of your price range, Room Essentials might be a better fit. You can find various brands for everything from coffee makers to cookware, vacuums to televisions and more.

Target also regularly offers great deals on their flyer items, and customers can often find in-store markdowns. Regular Target shoppers may want to consider a RedCard to save an extra 5%.

I tried to make a PayPal payment but received errors. I called PayPal and they said there was no issue with my account, I understood. I paid for an order using PayPal earlier today and for other orders lately and there were no PayPal payment issues. I then called Target and spoke to a woman who thought it was a PayPal account issue. She couldn't understand that the problem was with their OWN website. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and then I was disconnected. I called again and asked to speak to a manager or supervisor but was told basically she couldn't transfer me and or there was no one to transfer me to. She also could not understand that the errors were because of their OWN website after telling her multiple times that there was no problem ordering an item earlier today and also at other times too lately, I believe I may have said using PayPal. Finally, I disconnected the call.

On Friday January 5th (2024) I went to Target @ Blackstone/Bullard located in Fresno, Ca to do a routine pick up of an online order, I usually go to the "RiverPark" Target to do this, but on this particular day went to Blackstone/Bullard, where I proceeded to stand at what I thought was the front of the line for online Pick Up Orders due to the signage that was there up on the wall, (just as I have so many times at the RiverPark location), however No one was there to help me, I stood patiently for over 5 minutes, thinking maybe they was off getting someone elses order as they do, then I finally gave in and asked the young person who was at the closest cash register nearby at the Returns/Exchanges counter, I waited for him to be in between customers so as to not interrupt while there was the handling of a fellow customer.

When they finished with a customer, I asked when someone was going to come over to where I was to do their job for my Pick Up order(?) He outlandishly responded with repeated redundant verbal abuse(?!) He was making it as if I was trying to cut in front of the other customer in front of him, however I was still staying over standing only in front of the Pick Up orders line, & asking only about that line. I tried to explain this some more to him, & he just kept on with the same repeated redundant verbal abuse(?!) So I walked off, & asked a female employee located by the regular cashiers what was going on, she informed me there was no one working the Pick Up Orders line, and that we ALL had to go to the Returns/Exchanges line, even for Pick Ups.

So they were not being true to their signage (as the RIverPark location is, that is true to its signage), anyway that is ALL he had to inform me of, it would've took him up to 5 seconds literally to inform me of that - plus they need to have put up a sign on the counter of the Pick Up Orders counter to inform people that they needed to go to the wrong line - Returns/Exchanges line instead - for their online Pick Up orders. It also caused that customer that was next in line in front of him to have to wait longer for customer service because they had to wait for him to go through his verbal abuse of another customer - me - instead of once again the literally only up to 5 seconds it would've took him to inform the other customer - me - that I had to get into the different line to pick up my online Pick Up order.

I then got my pick up order, thankfully from a different employee who was working the Returns/Exchanges line, and was also thankfully courteous and understanding merely like Customer Service is supposed to be, then I went back over to the female employee who informed me that I had to go to the wrong line to get my order, and I told her I wanted/needed to talk to the supervisor/manager over this toxic abusive employee (who is named "Eric"), the so called supervisor/manager was also a young male and was named "Isiah", and he took a LONG time to come talk to me, and when he finally did he showed that he had sympathy for his fellow young male, no real kind of supervisor/manager whatsoever, so I needed to speak to a manager above him unfortunately, but I didn't have the time at that point so I left.

I have worked Customer Service myself, and I can NOT imagine ever going verbally abusive on a customer, including merely over the customer needing help in the area of Customer Service.(!) This employee "Eric" should be fired, & "Isiah" should at the minimum be demoted, he is not any kind of supervisory/managerial material whatsoever.

For two years I've noticed that whether receiving an online item or picking up groceries with the Target shopping service, something is damaged, severely broken, run over with a cart. When employees are trained, do they instill an attitude of, "the customer means nothing?". Whether shipped or when I drive up, items are dropped in my trunk or shoved in a box. Human Resources: get psychiatric help for your passive aggressive destruction of products I have purchased! Consistently ruining MY items is WRONG. It has happened more 25 times. Train your employees better.

I shop Target on a weekly basis. It’s my go to store for all my general needs from food shopping to personal needs. I have a few Targets near me and one is a Super Target. When I have a big order I go to that one. During the height of Covid I can say that target had the cleanest bathrooms of any establishment I went to. It’s difficult to keep bathrooms spotless but I find theirs to be the most clean. The staff is professional for a store of that type. Their selection and quality is great and usually have a well stocked store. It was the only place I could find toilet paper during covid where I live. I will continue to always shop Target.

They are now charging $5.99 for curbside pickup!! I thought Walmart was greedy, Target is following suit!! I started shopping here even though the prices are a little higher because I was tired of the riff raff at Walmart, I will be going back to Walmart! I'd rather deal with the riff raff & pay less money at this point! Walmart's curbside pickup is still free as it should be!

I bought online things from Target. They use the shipping carrier that was a third-party TLMD. They do not have a phone number and they took a picture of the ground of the street with the package with everything blurred out on the package. I never received my package And target doesn’t have any further information on the Carrier. This is why I purchased from Walmart because they tracked their packages.

I placed an order for pick up. It said the window was two hours. I went to the store and a very nice person said they were understaffed and no one was even shopping for my order and was past two hours. She had no idea when it would be ready. She suggested that I shop for the items myself. I did this with little success picking up the wrong items. The store was understaffed; under stocked and disorganized. I will never waste my time again between the ordering online; driving over there, trying to find the items it took me four hours. Terrible experience but the staff I did speak with were polite.

I have visited many Target stores in various states, and I must say that my experiences have been consistently positive. The stores are exceptionally well-stocked, and the personnel are typically polite and competent. What I appreciate most is that I often stumble upon items that I had not anticipated needing, and more often than not, these unexpected discoveries have significantly improved my life. Therefore, I strongly recommend Target to anyone seeking a great shopping experience.
