Always only had heard about Taj Palace, but was really lucky to stay and experience the same.
The moment you enter the hotel, magnificent paintings of the peacock on both the sides , the royal rugged staircase leading to the spectacular view of the Christmas tree in sparkling and glittering pink and gold, with penguins ,reindeers and the amazing décor is absolutely a treat to your eyes.
Taking full safety and hygiene measures against COVID-19, with sanitiser and gloves provided in abundance and the specialised Electronic Air Filtration system to maintain the air quality.
Standing at the pool side, the panoramic view of the Hotel is just mind blowing.
How to forget the food ! Loved the outdoor seating area of The Capital Kitchen looking out to pool and very impressive view , where we had our Buffet Breakfast. Really liked the set up of the gas heaters keeping us warm in this cold weather. Afternoon High Tea and evening Cocktails were fantastic.
Totally loved the Vishudi Tea- can still feel its taste while writing this.
Impeccable hospitality , staff is very courteous , services are top notch.
Indeed felt the Tajness at the hotel, words are short and I can go on and on writing of our amazing stay at the Taj Palace, New Delhi.

We stayed in Taj Palace, Delhi for our Anniversary and I must say that this was not what we expected. Hospitality and service was beyond our expectation. Everything about the stay was luxurious.

Check-in was easy and offered welcome drink. There was proper sanitisation stations everywhere with Sanitizer, Gloves and Masks. Our room was happily upgraded for our anniversary and a delicious cake was sent to us for the same. Few other special activities were supposed to be done but we were feeling too special already hence politely requested not to. Masks were provided in the room. Bath amenities were something to die for and we just loved it. We loved the bath amenities so much that we visited nearby Forest Essential store to purchase all of them but got to know that it’s exclusively made for Taj. Bad luck we couldn’t buy them.

Capital Kitchen food was top notch and the breakfast spread is probably the best we ever had in any of our stays earlier, even better than other Taj I stayed in. In room dining menu was exhaustive.
One observation is that in-room dining menu is different and had more options than the Capital Kitchen dine-in menu.

I will definitely visit again and refer everyone in my social circle.

I had been to alot of taj hotels in india and abroad but taj palace new delhi is the worst. Firstly, the in room dining experience was horrible, i specifically ordered a soft tandoori roti but instead got burnt roti, upon complaining, they sent the other roti after 15/20 mins, till then I had no desire to eat so I returned that and slept without having dinner, next day i asked for a cup to make some tea along with water bottles. I got the water bottles in 5 mins but the tea cups did not arrive after calling them for 15/20mins. First of all, the housekeeping staff is suppose to equip the room with these things when they come to clean the room. But this guy didn’t even bother to check or refill anything that was used. There were mosquitoes in the room, a very unpleasant stay. Upon complaining to the manager, I get to hear “mam we gave you an upgrade at the time of checkin, we gave you the pool view room”. So? I wasn’t even aware that I got an upgrade until the manager told me. Also, does that give them the right to serve bad food in the name of an upgrade? Taj palace is the worst place to spend the night and I would not recommend any one to stay here and ruin their “TAJ” experience.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. We had a kinoff room party. The room service service presentation was excellent. However there was an issue with a dish which was later rectified after having a word with the guest services. Over all it was a memorable night with great food and excellent service.
The issue of a missed charge came up after checking out the next day. At the time of check out i pointed out to the person checking us out that we had got a celebretory arrangement package booked to our stay which did not reflect in the bill. To which we were told that there were no other charges to the room and we should not worry as it might be courtesy of the hotel. We were obliged that the hotel went overboard to make their regular guests happy.
But to my amazement in all my years staying with a hotel. The hotel cashier called us the next day stating that a room charge has not been settled as it was not posted on time and we need to make the payment.
The money was supposed to be paid by us only but after being told that it was compliments of the hotel and it was the fault of the staff. I found it a bit odd. And it was the first time such a thing had happened.
It was mot expected out of a hotel chain such as this to be so careless in billings.

I will recommend The Taj Palace Delhi without any hesitation.

Right from Check-In to Housekeeping to In-Room dining everything was very well organized and very efficient. All rooms are of the same size, however won’t I recommend the Superior Category as the rooms there haven’t been renovated yet and feel dated. Anything from Deluxe Category and upwards is quite good (certain rooms may not have a bathtub so do Check for that)! If you want a late checkout till 4 pm they charge 25% of the room rate which is very nominal.

Food is great, breakfast buffet is quite elaborate. Post 9.30 am it gets very crowded so plan accordingly. Lastly the location of the hotel is perhaps the best in city with a lot of greenery all around.

All in all I had a lovely stay and will look forward to staying here whenever I come to Delhi again!

Being a Taj InnerCircle member we have come to expect world class quality from all Taj propoerties. Taj Palace Delhi, though exceeded all expectations. The attention given to safety and hygiene was fantastic and we were made to feel very safe and secrure during these tough times. Service quality standards at the restuarants, in-room dining and saloon were outstanding as usual. Special mention of Mr. Prem at the Capital Kitchen for his courtesy, helpful nature and service orientation. Thank you Taj Palace for the wonderful experience.

Pathetic experience.

Staying here for 2 days to celebrate my wife's birthday. A day before the checkin in, I mailed the hotel that we are celebrating my wife's birthday and they gave us a room upgrade and a cake. It was all nice before check-in.A while after check-in, we found that the kettle for tea was soiled and smelling awful, almost made me puking (I recalled their boasting covid protocols about cleanliness). Called up room service, waited for about half n hour but no one came to replace. Later, we ordered a pizza from room service and asked the guy delivering it (BTW the pizza was cold) about the kettle, who then replaced it.
Later at 9:30 ordered a starter, dal makhni and stuffed kulcha from room service, was asked to wait 30-35 mins by the lady on call, waited and received the food at 10.25. On bill it showed garlic naan which I pointed out to the guy delivering it, he said we substitute item names on bill sometimes but pricing is same and the item for sure is stuffed naan. I was fine with it and proceeded with starters, when shifted to main course found garlic naan instead of stuff naan. Mood ruined. Called room service, no one responded. Went to front desk, complained to him. He connected me with duty manager, he assured me quick solution. Went back to room, waited and waited, got a fresh dal makhni and stuffed naan at 11.30.

Nsxt morning, while walking us towards the breakfast area (which was not giving us any vibes of Tajness in it, have seen much much better breakfast spread at Roseate Hotel), morning duty manager asked us about our stay, narrated him the ordeal, he askes about the room number, provided him with that. Still nothing.

I am not looking for some freebies or a room upgrade or anything here. But anything from simple sorry in the morning to a cookie as a token of apology would have been enough.

I've been a gold tier member of ITC and a regular to their properties for quite a some time. Was saving a Taj property for a special occasion. Ruined wife's birthday completely. It was my first and last visit to a Taj property. You guys have lost a customer today.

Hello, some changes needs to be done with the interiors, like upgrading the tv and polishing of tables. Staff was courteous. Just a suggestion being friendly Is good by staff, but need to understand the line of being friendly and being over friendly. Its quite annoying when you are sitting for lunch with your loved ones who u want to spend time with, the service staff comes and talks to you for 15 to 20 mins. Also when it is crowded in the morning for breakfast, your trainees need to be ready to cope up the pressure and not look exhausted. We understand the pressure but that's what the business is all about. Also in the breakfast room, youll should appoint someone to close and open the doors as the residents never shut the door and the people sitting near the door get a whiff of hot air of Delhi! We literally had to get up and keep shutting the door around 10 to 12 times! not justified to me. Well I am being picky, but at the end of the day its a TAJ you are staying at and you need to take care or the smallest of things. One of the days we had to move to your banquet hall for breakfast, well if you do this then make sure you have enough cutlery. I can't expect to have tea or coffee in a paper cup! At check in we were told no outside guest were allowed in the room. but we had some unwanted people in the room opposite to urs in the night!

Positives - Sleep was outstanding, Location was amazing.

Visited Taj palace in the 1st week of Feb this year for Business and leisure trip .Compared to our Stay Experience at the various TAJ properties in the west and south, TAJ Palace Delhi was a sure let down. The room was small but with windows totally sealed and Air conditioning not functioning properly it was extremely inconvenient. 2 nights of disturbed sleep. Iron + Iron board were missing in the room . It is available only on request . The equipment was sent without even checking and it failed to work !!! Simple gadgets like remotes etc. were not kept at easily accessible areas. Worst of all at the time of check out me and my husband were not even assisted to load just the two regular suitcases into the car that we were carrying . The Taj service that we have experienced at other properties are way above this hotel's service & standards. For the exorbitant prices charged the stay was a total let down !!!
