Many of the quests also follow the high risk, high reward mechanism, where they have to go to very dangerous areas on a map to collect a certain item. Some would argue that the surplus goods quest is one of those quests. So how do you complete it?
How to complete Mechanic's surplus goods quest
Firstly, the player must be level 13 to activate this quest.
The quest can be obtained from the Mechanic and it requires you to obtain the MBT Integrated Navigation System that can be located on Reserve and then make your way towards the navigation complex.
The rewards for this task include +7500 EXP, 47980 Roubles, 2 Ultraviolet lamps, 2 Energy-saving lamps, and +0.02 rep with the Mechanic.
To complete it, you must go to the Reserve and there make your way towards the Knight Garages and make your way toward the garage circled red on the map.

Once you are there, you will need a RB-ST key to pass through the cage-like door. The key can be purchased at the flea market or obtained as a reward from the Spa Tour - Part 7 quest.
Once inside, make your way toward the back of the garage. There will be a green light and a tank parked, near the tank there will be some boxes, and inside them will be the MBT Integrated Navigation System.

Lastly, once you have collected the Navigation System, all you have to do is extract it safely and go back to speak to the mechanic.
