- Nour AAlexandria, Egypt4 contributionsOur experience with Manfred in Germany was absolutely amazing. He took us on a great tour where we got to see some beautiful places. To start the day he took us to this incredible restaurant. He had searched high and low for it and even called ahead to reserve a spot for us. The breakfast there was so delicious that we still talk about it months later! Our trip's highlight was definitely Lake Mummelsee. It was our first time experiencing snow when we saw it there, but the excitement of playing in the snow and taking in the view made it a memorable experience. I can't even begin to express how incredible our day in Germany was with Manfred. He was so informative and knew everything about the places we visited. What really stood out was how he personalized the activities to match our interests. It made the day feel so special and unique to us! To top it all off, Manfred took us to the airport when it was time to return. Manfred went above and beyond to assist us in locating a delivery van so that we could receive our delayed package and catch our flight on time. Not only that, but he also offered to help us carry our belongings, even though it wasn't necessary. His kindness and helpfulness were truly remarkable. I can't recommend Manfred enough, he truly made our trip special. If you ever get the chance to visit Germany, be sure to reach out to him. Made the city appear even more interesting and significant. From email received asking for a refund: “Our Lokafyers are not professional tour guides; they are friendly locals who are passionate about their cities and happy to share their private, non-touristic knowledge of them with the Travellers.”
We did start the tour an hour late on our choice knowing that we paid for a 3 hour tour rather than 2 hour tour. At that time, we were fine paying for the 3 hour tour as we chose to start late. Even with that, we chose to end 30 minutes early as the tour was terrible.
The tour started with her insulting gypsies as she was commenting on a “gypsy begging for money.” Throughout the tour she proceeded to share her distaste for any immigrant (Turkish/Ukrainian/any refugee/gypsies/anyone with a beard).
We briefly went through the red lights district where she shared that this was where the LGBTQIA+ community would go, but “I don’t know about that.” And then it looked like she rolled her eyes indicating she didn’t like or approve of the community.
She would point to buildings and say “that’s an old building because it looks old.”
Towards the end she shared how she almost died in august, needed surgery, and that she didn’t take the recommended blood transfusion because other people are “dirty.” This came up as we had passed a couple of people handing out flyers, but they were addressing the environment, not Jehovah’s Witnesses (which she thought they were).
The final comment where we politely cut off the tour (by lying that we were hungry and wanted to find something to eat) was that she stated the USA should’ve nuked Germany and that the USA is still horrible.
I get it’s customized but she didn’t have a clear plan and disregarded what we had wanted.
We didn’t tip and we always tip our guides. We’ve taken many tours and this was by far the worst one we have ever been on. We are fine with tour guides sharing a bit on their political views as we understand that all people have the right to their own opinion, however this felt like a 90 minute rant from a person who doesn’t even like Germany, let alone Stuttgart.Written November 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The library looked amazing from this level and easy access to the roof terrace. What we hadn’t expected is when you walk in it doesn’t look like the photos online - you are in the right place. - lee ySingapore49 contributionsAttended the 3-day program and was not impressed. From the time I checked in no one can tell me program objectives, outlines and schedule. After the program it seems to me that the ,air gist is about the breathing technique which I feel needs only 2-3 hours of learning and practice to seal the basic know how. The trainers tried to pad in the 3 days work by incorporating some stress management concepts and lots of stories to tell. For time precious individuals may find this not productive use of time.
Charges not reasonable for international participants, as the fees is about 6 times what locals paid.
