Description:

[1]

Their scales are mainly black or midnight blue, but their underbellies, talons, spine, eyes, floof, and wings are vibrant shades of red, orange, yellow, and blue (like kinds of stars). They have flecks of scales under their wings like a NightWing, but obsidian black instead of quartz white. NovaWing pupils are star or diamond shaped, occasionally both. A rare type of NovaWing is one with silver scales instead of black. Also, their wings are large and curved in a graceful, crescent moon-type shape.

Abilities:

Can breath fire hotter than any of the tribes; they radiate a sort of glow off of their scales; and if they read the stars they can see it more clearly; nocturnal

Queen:

Queen Nebulas

Naming system:

These dragons are named after space related things, such as planets, stars, or other space vocabulary. Examples: Star, Nebula, Mercury, Mars, and Void.

History

The day they came:

They came suddenly, when a comet flew over Pyrrhia after the Scorching ended. As they were, the NovaWings was a weak tribe, helpless, but the other tribes helped the NovaWings grow and find order. In return, the NovaWings agreed to trade resources and offer peace.

The Star Queen:

When the NovaWings decided they needed a queen, they fought. There were 5 groups: Lady Nexus supporters, Lady Galaxy, Lady Meteor, Lady Sunshower, and Lady Star. The war lasted 15 years before Lady Sunshower was crowned star queen. Her majesty’s first order was to build The Stone Spire, where they burned all of the dead to ash. Ever since, that has been the tradition for the dead.

The SandWing Succession:

NovaWings were not involved in the war of the SandWing sisters.

Culture

Star day:

Star day takes place every year on the day of the Star Queen Sunshower’s victory. They wake up in the day and take a cup of ashes from the Stone Spire and free the spirits to the wind and stars.

Seasonal festival:

Every season the NovaWings celebrate a different thing. Summer celebrates honor and sets lanterns in the color red. Autumn celebrates spirituality and sets lanterns in the color yellow. Winter celebrates the stars and sets lanterns in the color blue. And Spring celebrates new beginnings and sets lanterns in the color magenta.

Religion:

NovaWings believe that stars are god and that the dragons have been sent to right wrongs in Pyrrhia.

They also believe that flying during the day is wrong because they face the bright star of the day, and that whoever is caught gets exiled.

There is a rare “blessing” among NovaWings, is that one would get silver scales. This is considered “holy” and he or she and their family get raised to the highest ranks.

Language:

Most NovaWings speak dragon, but some know something similar to Nordic code. It is used by pulsing light through the dragon in certain lengths of time.

Governing

Council:

The council works with the queen to decide everything in the Nova Kingdom, they host nightly meetings every midnight at the Glass Spire.

The Star Five:

Five dragons judge a princess for certain traits before the princess is allowed to challenge the queen in a duel. These traits are: Queenliness, Justice, Patience, Kindness, and Bravery.

The Nova Kingdom [2] These dragons

live by a large

river in-between

the ice and sky

kingdoms

The Northern Star:

This city is where the palace and Stone Spire is. Here they have a lush forest where NovaWings hunt larger prey. And higher class resident homes take place here.

The Middle Star:

This city is made up of wide bridges that can carry many things. This place actually has the largest marketplace in all three cities. As well as all of the minor resident homes. The Glass Spire is here too.

The Southern Star:

Fog covers this land almost all the time, this is where the NovaWings set their seasonal lanterns in hopes of making their own stars shine. The NovaWings who live here are either in exile or have low social status, thus living alone and in small housing.

Population:

The population is represented by blue star NovaWings, but only because the royal heritage is mostly blue. In reality, there is an even population of blue star, red star, orange and yellow, and even multi star. The number of NovaWings here is small, but packed. They make use of the land they own instead of having small towns in some parts of their kingdom.

Inhabitants:

Some dragons in the NovaWing kingdom aren't actually NovaWings. The NovaWings are very pleasing to other tribes, so there is many kinds of dragons (like Possibility has, but more IceWings).

Biology

What they are:

NovaWings are stars that took form as dragons, but no one knows how. This allows them to glow and have fire hotter than any tribe.

Corruption:

Corruption is caused when a NovaWing dies. The death of a NovaWing is similar to that of a star. Normally, the NovaWings crack when dead, or even explode. But a corrupted NovaWing doesn't die correctly, and instead becomes fully shiny an black like that of a black hole.

These corrupted dragons are immediatly exiled, and all of the tribes are informed that it exists. But some dragons hire the NovaWings to kill, kidnap, etc. because the corrupted love shiny things.

Royals:

Queen Nebulas

Prince Starshipper

Princess Starburst
