Update: Capcom's TGS stream focused on Dan in SF5 is now live. Come watch it with us below.

We're up early and eagerly awaiting news with regards to Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition as Capcom is currently prepping some kind of presentation focused on their next DLC character: Dan Hibiki.

This will all be taking place, of course, at Tokyo Game Show 2020 as Japanese developers from all corners of the community come together for such reveals, showcases, and a general celebration of gaming.

Capcom's portion of the day is slated to kick off at 5 a.m. PST and run for the better part of an hour. Dan is the only Season 5 character we've seen any footage of all for yet, and leading speculation for today is that we may get a character trailer for Mr. Hibiki.

Of the five newcomers slated for Season 5, Dan is scheduled to release first during the Winter of 2020. While this could technically encompass the end of December along with the first few months of 2021, we've widely taken this to mean Dan will be part of Street Fighter 5 by the end of this year.

We're hoping to get a hard release date for the incoming fighter today and our fingers are crossed for any and all additional information regarding Capcom's Season 5 plans for SF5.

English speakers will appreciate the translations given via the Capcom USA stream, which we've embedded below for your convenience. Feel free to share your own thoughts as to what you think we'll see today in the comments below.
