HBO's Duplass brothers comedy Togetherness has cast one of its two male leads.

Steve Zissis has been tapped to star in the network's comedy pilot Togetherness, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

STORY: Comedy From Mark and Jay Duplass Lands Pilot Order at HBO

Togetherness follows two couples living under the same roof who struggle to keep their relationships alive while pursuing their individual dreams.

Zissis will play Alex Pappas, a thirtysomething actor who has been trying to make it in Los Angeles for nearly 20 years and has just been left homeless with only one friend in the world, Brett.

Mark and Jay Duplass will write, executive produce and direct the half-hour pilot; Duplass Brothers Productions producer Stephanie Langhoff will serve as a co-executive producer on the project. There are no plans for either to appear onscreen. Two and a Half Men's Melanie Lynskey also co-stars.

Zissis starred in Jay and Mark Duplass' Baghead, Do-Deca Pentathlon and co-starred in their Jason Segel feature Jeff, Who Lives at Home, as well as the John C. Reilly entry Cyrus. On the TV side, he has guest-starred in Private Practice, Parks and Recreation and The League. He's repped by Domain Talent, Abrams Entertainment and CESD.
