Inside Marie Osmond's Relationship With Steve Craig
Singer and actor Marie Osmond has a complex history with her current husband, former basketball player Steve Craig. The couple first met when Osmond was a teenager, per the Daily Mail. They went on to marry in 1982 when Osmond was 22 years old. Just a day before tying the knot, the couple discussed their impending nuptials in a "Good Morning America" interview. When Craig was asked what inspired him to marry Osmond, he cited the performer's "dignity, her wisdom, and her humor and honesty ... [with] the profession that [Osmond] has, she has to go through a great many things," Craig said before adding, "Through it all, basically, she has been a great asset to womanhood. And I can't think of any greater lady that I would like to work together with to raise our children."
Osmond then spoke about her feelings toward Craig, stating, "I have never found anybody who I respect more, who I love more." The couple later had one child together, a son named Stephen, who was born in 1983. Osmond and Craig would only be together for about three years following their '82 wedding, as Osmond ended up filing for divorce in 1985, per AP News. Years after their previous marriage ended, Marie Osmond and Steve Craig were able to rekindle their romance. Following the couple's split in 1985, Osmond moved on with a new partner and wed record producer Brian Blosil, per Popculture. The two were married from 1986 to 2007 and shared seven children. Once Osmond separated from Blosil, she and Craig were brought together through their son, Stephen, and once again, sparks flew. The pair began seeing each other and remarried in 2011, per People. Osmond later opened up to the news outlet in 2019 about what it was like to reignite her romance with Craig.
"The thing about a second marriage is that you realize things you thought were so important, aren't," Osmond said. "I love being with my husband. He is the sweetest man I know. He lives to serve and really listens to people's needs." Osmond shared with Closer Weekly in 2019 that her second marriage with Craig had brought a new joy into her life after a less-than-perfect union with Blosil. "[Craig] took my life from crazy and hectic and sad and discombobulated," Osmond said. "My last marriage [with Brian] was tough, and [Craig] just kind of put all the pieces back together." It's been over a decade since the two wed again, and Osmond and Craig are still as in love as ever.

Following Marie Osmond tying the knot with Steve Craig for the second time, the entertainer revealed that this reunion was kept secret for a period. Osmond stated in May 2011 that she and Craig didn't tell anyone, not even their children, that they had begun seeing each other for two years leading up to the nuptials. "I didn't want anybody to get hurt, you know, if it didn't work out," Osmond said on "Good Morning America," per ABC News. "And gosh, it just worked out."
Osmond has celebrated her romance with Craig via social media on several occasions. This includes when the performer posted a picture of herself and Craig at a mountain resort in honor of his birthday on August 28. Osmond surprised Craig with this fun getaway, she explained. "It was wonderful to watch [Craig] get excited to ride his mountain bike over all the incredible trails while testing his physical prowess with some very challenging terrain," Osmond wrote. She has also said through Instagram that Craig is "the love of [her] life" and her "forever Valentine." These love birds have an enduring romance story that's so sweet, it's worthy of a movie plot!
