We arrived at this restaurant at shortly after 14.00 and were greated with a stern look by the head waiter who took a huge amount of time seating a single lady directly before us, but ignored us totally. Whilst we stood aimlessly at the reception...counter for almost 10 minutes, the barman brought our plight to the waiters attention. The waiter shrugged to his colleage then rudely approaced us to say the restaurant was now closed. In a very i polite manner. This was at 14.10. The restaurant only opens 12.00 to 14.30. If this is their idea of welcome and service there are many better and.friendlier places to eat in Milan.More

One of the better restaurants we ate at in Milan! This is an incredibly popular restaurant so being guaranteed a table I recommend calling and making a reservation before. We took a chance and arrived there shortly after they opened on a Saturday night. It...was fully booked but they said if we wanted they had a little more than an hour until the next reservation and it was really worth it. The service was superb and even though we didn't have much time, they never stressed us. The food was divine, both me and my partner took a separate pasta dish with truffles. If you like truffles I would recommend their homemade pasta with fresh truffles, absolutely incredible! Well worth a visit!More

We got a little turned around trying to find the restaurant and were late for our reservation but the staff still managed to seat us and put on a fantastic meal! The fiori di zucca and parmigiana di melanzane were absolutely delightful. I had massive...food envy when my partner got the Gnocchi alla Sorrentina (my favourite thing in the entire world!), though my Risotto alla vera Milanese was absolutely delightful. My wife and I visited Ristorante Antica Osteria Stendhal during a recent visit to Milan. It was a last minute decision and we knew little about the restaurant. Long story short, reservations were easy to make, the meals were wonderful and the service - thank...you Valentina - was exceptional. Highlights of the meal were the stuffed zucchini flowers and the white truffle risotto (decadent beyond belief). We shared the sea bass for our main course. We turned up just after 1pm on Sunday without a reservation. On the off chance of a table - not a problem at all. We had courgette flowers stuffed with ricotta and salami, followed by Osso buco and cheese and honey ravioli - potentially the...best ravioli I have ever tasted! Very nice restaurant, polite service, really good menu. I would insistantly recommend trying beef steak with blach truffle. It's of amazing taste. We really enjoyed this place. The food was good and the waiter was fun and attentative to our needs. One of us really wanted pasta Vongole, which was not on the menu, but the menu said to ask for other dishes if one had a...special wish. So we got the Vongole, and it was good. A little bit unsure how they got hold of the Cardiidae/Cockle/Vongole shells, though. Usually sea shells is not something you can get unless it's on the menu, but they tasted good, so :-)More
