Stanley Ralph Ross (July 22, 1935 - March 16, 2000) was an American actor, voice actor and writer. Some of his best known roles were on the Super Friends cartoons produced by Hanna-Barbera in the 70s and 80s, playing villainous characters such as Brainiac and Gorilla Grodd. As a writer, Ross contributed to the 1960s Adam West Batman TV show and the later Wonder Woman series starring Lynda Carter. In 1973 and 1974, during the third season of Columbo, Ross worked on two episodes; he wrote the teleplay for Any Old Port in a Storm from a story by Larry Cohen, then came up with the story for Swan Song. David Rayfiel subsequently wrote the full screenplay based on Ross' idea.

Stanley Ralph Ross died of lung cancer in Los Angeles on March 16 2000. He was 64 years old. His headstone reads "Thanks, I Had a Wonderful Time!"
