Exe Majestic

Naples|0.74km from Nautica Branchizio
After an amazing and nice taxi ride. I arrive at Hotel Exe Majestic. A 4 star hotel. Even it doesn’t look very glamorous, the welcome was very very warm! - How to get there? - Most easy is probably by taxi or own car. But if you want to come by public transport, the nearest subway station is Napoli Piazza Amadeo (note all stations are called Napoli first) from there it is just a 7 to 10 min walk to the hotel. SIDE NOTE! Please note that Naples doesn’t have any pedestrian crossing lights. In fact crossing the road goes on feel, it is very dangerous, please watch out when crossing the road, cars will not stop. - Reception/check-in - The entrance is easy accessible, so is the location of the reception. It just feels a little outdated, but still acceptable. I was welcomed very warmly by the receptionist, and check in went very smooth, professional and quickly. - Room - On the 5th floor room 505. Unlocking the door, would have been handy if the reception would have told me how. Since normally you open the door by card at the lock are of the door. However, such thing wasn’t at the door. Tough quickly I found out that unlocking the door, is actually by putting the card on the far left side of the door at the wall. Might have been handier if it was just at the door itself. A room not very big but clean and tidy. The view tough isn’t really exciting, looking at a wall of a building across. The room has a king size bed, a bath! Toilet and a bidet (luxurious). The bathroom is nice, tough it could use an upgrade since somehow it feels like half of the bathroom had had an upgrade and the other half didn’t. But maybe that is just Italian. The room itself is half cozy. It doesn’t feel very warm by interior. Some paintings or flowers would have been nice. But nevertheless quality again! An entire bowl of candy! And a very full stuffed mini fridge! (Side note, the mini fridge smelled very dirty, like there was growing mold) Only thing missing was a tea dispenser or hot water cooker. Would have been a nice adding. One of the negative points of the room, was the complexity of buttons. There were a stunning 27 buttons... now you would expect that it can’t be complex, but it was. Some buttons switch on and off multiple systems, but you have no clue which is doing what. Even when testing them all. There is even a metal screen (rolling down) at the window. Which have buttons everywhere, even at the side of your bed there are several buttons. The thing is only that the metal screen seemed broken, or at least very slow, because when pushing the buttons, nothing happens for about 5 seconds. The it will give you a heart attaque when it suddenly jumps alive. Really great at night when on accident you push a button... At the end, I pulled some lamp plugs out of the socket to switch off the lights. Maybe an instruction or at least words, to know which is what. At 11 pm, I noticed my room getting hotter and hotter. The thermostat was at 25 celsius... now I tried to lo

Fantastica disponibile e consigli a gogò. Andarci ad occhi chiusi, consapevoli che si arriva in treno+metro la fermata è a 10 minuti dalla casa. Per me non sono stati un problema, anche se stanco del viaggio

We really liked this place. It was clean, comfortable, and they gave us the large, beautiful room next to the reception desk. When we booked on Expedia, we thought it was a hotel. But it is actually more like a guesthouse or B&B. We never saw anyone at the front desk, and we learned when our flight was cancelled and we had to rebook and land in Naples after 10 pm, that there was a fee for late check-in. We were super grateful for Fabio who picked us up from the airport (for less than the cost of a taxi) and checked us in. We were able to communicate our needs through WhatsApp. The rooms live behind a fortress, gates and doors, with a small rickety-feeling elevator, otherwise one has to climb about 4 flights of stairs to get up there. They gave us a set of several keys with which to get in and out of the building. We were brought a typical Italian petit dejeuner daily, good coffee and a pastry. It is close to the metro, has some nice restaurants and bars nearby. Savoy Riviera was super Neopolitan! It is a good place for the price. For those who can manage the flexibility of a guesthouse with no front desk vs a hotel, I highly recommend it.

Hotel facilities and decorations are out of our expectation! A very stylish and newly furnished hotel. Breakfast was served on the top floor with choice of outdoor sitting, food quality and choices are excellent. Super comfy beds and room size just good. Location is a bit far from city center and around 10-15 min walk to the waterfront or central Chiara. But the stay did compensate the extra walk especially if you want to stay away from the crowds. A well deserved 5 star hotel and worth the price!

We only stayed here one night but it was definitely a highlight of our entire time in Italy. This is a very elegant hotel with beautiful rooms, stunning views and an outstanding staff. Our room was actually 2 floors with a king sized bed and bathroom on the upper floor and a living room (with sofa bed) with bathroom on the lower floor. Gorgeous furnishings and decorations throughout and we particularly loved the marble staircase. We had a small balcony from which we enjoyed amazing views of the bay. For dinner, we headed to the rooftop terrace where we had some great food and drinks - again overlooking the bay. For dessert, we had the delizia al limone which we highly recommend (it was the best delizia al limone we have had in all our travels throughout Italy!). Breakfast was also on the rooftop terrace and offered a lovely selection of fruits, pastries, cereal, coffee, tea, etc. The staff was warm and welcoming and so very helpful with any request we had. We would like to give special thanks to Alex, Carla, Marco, Antonio and the housekeeping staff (the rooms are spotless!). We very much hope to stay here again some day.
