Had to visit the mother-land. If you're a football fan like me, you can't avoid chills while walking around the stadium.
Banners, photos and graffiti everywhere gives it a special atmosphere.

A good place for football and Napoli fans. It's also a good place to visit if you are just around Napoli

Liked the stadium which wasn’t as decrepit as I’d been led to believe. The concourse was very basic though - just one hut selling food & drink where I was and that didn’t open straight away, although there was someone coming round selling stuff during the game. Shame about the running track and being so far from the pitch, but atmosphere still amazing. All in all, a memorable experience and can’t wait to go back.

I am a well travelled football fan that loves historical stadiums. We visited as away fans (England) vs Italy and we won the game 2-1 so I should be happy to write a good review but I simply cannot. Our experience was awful, first of all we were strongly advised to use away fan free buses to the ground from the central maritime station, what should be a 25 minute journey took an hour and 45 minutes, I believe this was because the police directed the bus drivers to take a scenic route. When we finally arrive at the away end we were kettled and basically crushed into a police cordon as there was insufficient stewards to perform security checks and only two ticket barriers for 3000 fans. My wife uses a crutch and was forced to walk up a steep hill into this miss. The one saving Grace was once through three security cordons and the ticket barrier one steward took pity on my wife who was in tears and allowed us in the section for disabled fans which at least meant we could get a seat and watch the game whilst recovering from the ordeal.

Stadio San Paolo looks absolutely awesome. However on the day we visited we were unable to go inside and due to time constraints could not return.

The first time I went to San Paolo Stadium was in 1979. Napoli vs Torino 0-1. After that, I have had the great honour and pleasure to admire the Napoli of His Majesty Ruud Krol and later on the Naples of the best player ever. I have been at San Paolo hundred of times. Many emotions beautiful memories. And every time I come to Naples, I take the opportunity to go and watch a match. Now, the infrastructure requires a very urgent remake. It is not comparable to any of the best European Stadiums. But even to the best Italian ones. Naples, the team and the supporters deserves to have a great modern Stadium, now!!!

Been there to watch SSC Napoli match in Serie A. The stadium itself is rather in poor condition, with some stands excluded from use (probably due to safety reasons) but nice match atmosphere even when playing against one of the weakest teams of Serie A. Located a bit from the city center so rather only for football fans.

The atmosphere is outstanding, however there is often violence especially between rival ultras. The team is also one of the best in the Serie A. However the stadium is not up to scratch. Last renovated over 20 years ago, it is in need of drastic tlc.
Utter lack of half time vendors, toilets are awful and everything is dirty. Lots of litter lying around. All down to the municipalities (like the council) who own the stadium, and they refuse to upgrade the stadium as they will not recieve as much money as the did previoulsy. But definatley worth the visit, manly for the atmosphere.

People are rude. Seats purchased may have people in them and they won't move even if you get the high priced tickets. Bathrooms are terrible. The seats are very uncomfortable. Not worth the experience. Truly a toilet.

Very large stadium in downtown area. Exciting place during soccer games. Lots of venders. Congested parking. Crowded. Needs upgrades.
