Ever wondered what to give to colleagues on a last day of work? Beside egg tarts, I wanted to give something more meaningful. After all it has been 3 years. Some of the trendy stuff I thought of were cakepops, cupcakes, cookies... It took some consideration before finally opting for royal icing cookies. In terms of design, size and budget, cookies were the best choice. Communication with Cake Option was good. Feedback was generally immediate. There was just one tiny misunderstanding at some point, but that was my own fault. I forgot to mention that I wanted "Au revoir", "Thanks" and "886" written separately on different styled cookies. It was a surprise to me, but the result worked out fine. Each cookie had an 'international' feel to it. The small ladybug (company's mascot) on the side, a tribute to the company, was cute and discreet. The lucky colleagues who received a cookie were overjoyed, mostly impressed by how pretty the gift was. Some thought the cookies tasted great, others thought they were too sweet. Sweet for sure, as icing and fondant definately mean loads of sugar. Not eating the cookie would also make it a great souvenir. Kudos to Cake Option for making my last day a memorable one.
