How many bags can I carry on, and do Southwest charge for checked luggage?
Carry-on items are limited to one travel bag plus one smaller, personal item. You’re allowed to have two checked pieces of baggage per ticket, with some size and weight limitations.
I left something on a Southwest plane. Can I get it back?
If you realize that you left an item onboard the plane, notify a Southwest Airlines Customer Service Agent before leaving the airport. If you’ve left the airport, contact the airport’s lost and found. Provide detailed information regarding the item and they will assist you to retrieve it.
What are the baggage size restrictions for Southwest flights?
Southwest Airlines limits carry-on bag dimensions to 10 x 16 x 24 inches.
The maximum weight for checked luggage is 50 pounds and maximum size is 62 inches (length + width + height) per check piece of luggage. Overweight items from 51 to 100 pounds and oversized items in excess of 62 inches but not more than 80 inches will be accepted for an overweight and oversize baggage fee of $75 per item.
How can I arrange for a child to travel on a Southwest flight as an Unaccompanied Minor?
Children ages five through 11 traveling without an accompanying passenger age 12 or older are designated as an Unaccompanied Minor on Southwest flights. There is a charge $50 each way ($100 roundtrip) in addition to the air fare per child. Unaccompanied Minors may only travel on nonstop or direct flights.
